• To be eligible, candidates should have completed a B.Litt., B.A. in Tamil, or any other degree from a recognized University with Part-I as Tamil.
• Candidates for the above program will be selected based on their performance in the qualifying examination, along with an interview.

Annamalai University MA in Tamil Course Details

The MA in Tamil is a postgraduate program that offers advanced study in Tamil literature, language, and cultural heritage. Students in this program typically engage in coursework covering classical and modern Tamil literature, linguistics, and cultural studies, preparing them for careers in academia, research, translation, and various cultural and literary fields.

Reservation of Seats: Seats for candidates belonging to ST / SCA / SC / MBC / DNC / BC / BC (Muslim) / OC communities will be reserved according to the rules and regulations of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Additionally, 5% of seats are allocated for differently-abled persons by the government norms.

Note: Demand draft for M.Sc. Programme 200/- for SC/SCA/ST and 400/- for Others, which is drawn in favour of The Registrar, Annamalai University, payable at Annamalainagar / Chennai.
