• Candidates seeking admission to the Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) degree program must have successfully completed the B.P.Ed. examination either from this University or any other institution recognized as equivalent in the 10+2+3+2 pattern.
• Additionally, candidates should have a sports background, having represented their College, University, or State in any game or sport, provided they meet the prerequisite of being medically fit and free from any deformities.
• Applicants should be below 34 years of age as of July 1st. However, a relaxation of 2 years, making the maximum age limit 36 years, is applicable for candidates falling under categories such as SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Experienced Physical Education Teachers/Widow/Destitute, provided they are medically fit and free from any deformity.
• Candidates will be chosen based on merit, adhering to the seat regulations set by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Selection will be made from those candidates who achieve a minimum of 50% marks in the specified selection tests.

Annamalai University Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) Course Details

The Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) program is designed to advance the knowledge and skills of individuals in the field of physical education, encompassing subjects such as sports science, exercise physiology, and sports psychology. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students gain expertise in sports coaching, sports management, and health-related aspects, preparing them for leadership roles in the realm of physical education and sports.

Reservation of Seats: Seats for candidates from ST/SC/SCA/MBC/DNC/BC/BCM/OC communities will be reserved in accordance with the rules and regulations laid out by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Note: For M.P.Ed. program, the demand draft amounts are Rs. 300/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates and Rs. 600/- for others. The demand draft should be drawn in favor of The Registrar, Annamalai University, and payable at Annamalainagar/Chennai.
