Ans. To secure admission into the Ph.D Petroleum Engineering at IIT Madras

• To qualify for the Ph.D. program, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or dual degree, or its equivalent in a relevant discipline other than Engineering or Technology. They should also have cleared UGC – NET or JRF / CSIR-JRF, or possess a valid GATE Score or equivalent qualification applicable for the current year in the relevant area. Alternatively, international-level postgraduate admission examinations such as the GRE apply to OCI/NRI/Foreign Nationals (Non-HTRA).
• Alternatively, candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a 5-year BS+MS Dual degree/5-year Integrated degree with a strong academic background are also eligible.
