There are two fests, Saarang(Cultural fest) and Shaastra(Technical Fest), both of which happen in January. A semester is for 4 months(Odd sem - Aug to Nov and Even sem - Jan - May) and these fests happen during the vacation time, so some students stay back to organize these fests. The library at IITM has 5 floors, and almost all educational books and journals are available. Also, there are novels and story books in the library.

IIT Madras has one of the most beautiful campuses but currently this course is distance but there is an option to do degree at campus with certain eligibility in 4th year. Full infrastructure is great and there are many extra curricular activities and many groups have been found where students can join based on the interest. Few examples to those clubs are films club sports club and literary club etc.

Life at campus is too good and I feel I'm lucky to study here in IIT Madras. We have CFI(centre for innovation hub) where competitions and projects happens and currently we have a government project called bullet train which goes very fast without making much noise and we have cultural fest called saarang and technical fest called shaastra which I'm a part of. We have many more clubs and library where we have almost every book we need whether it's relates to courses we have or story books and everything. We use to have inter IIT competitions for curricular activities and sports. Everything here is run by students only.

Here in iitm Iam leaving very happy life I got freedom after coming this institute and our fest was amazing it was unexpected in fest I loved the ramp walk by friend Liya God damn she was super at ramp walk

Sarang is the cultural fest being conducted in the month of January each year. Else there are many tech fests and other cultural events going on insisde the campus. I would say each occassion is celebrated to the fullest. A wide range of books and internal and national journals are available in the library. I love the classroom as they are digitally upgraded helping in delivering the content more precisely , Spots and extracurricular activities also got no chiils. Olympic size swimming pool and cricket ground. Each and every sport is available in its best possible form. There are many technical, cultural and other socities based over different motto. Study circles and competitive exam socities like UPSC, GATE etc. are there to help students get a company.

Saarang is the cultural fest and shasthra is the tech fest conducted in January tentatively. The central library is the biggest. The sports facilities are very good with coaches and complexes for a large number of sports options. There are many Instagram Twitter Facebook pages. Hostel food is decent and registration is done through the hostel website. I lived in the IIT hostel.

The collage life is far better than some collages you see which are local to your city . We have a wide range of clubs, teams and groups where you can find you interests. Our collage fest is known as saarang and it is conducted in the month of January which is totally run by students . We have a huge library facility and classrooms are well maintained. Sports and extracurricular activities too have a lot of options and there's a newly built sports complex dedicated to indoor games . Hostel and mess are decent and mess allocation is done for every 1 or 2 months where we can submit a preference of mess we like to have in that particular period, they have a pretty good options in which a jain mess is also available .

The course is fully online. But social life and connections are above great. One can build a very large network as there are a lot of data enthusiasts. Every book is available in the Library. Extra Curricular activities take place every week, like hackathons.

You will enjoy it, and you have a chance to connect with new people,in iit madras Saarang Fest is celebrated with huge excitement after the end of the semester. For books, you have a library you can take any book from there and you can join your favorite club.

In this course you will not be able to excess compus but they organise many events through them u can access campus. The biggest event that happens is called paradox. They conduct it for week during it student can stay in campus
