All about NIT Uttarakhand

What I Liked

There are less distractions around the college like clubs and pubs, so you could focus on you goal more effectively.
The place is calm and clean and has good environment.

What I didn’t like

There is no permanent campus of our own.
College life is very poor here and placement is also not good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent for CSE students. Good number of companies visit in college for CSE and ECE branch. For other branches placements are not good. If you have interest in your core branch (other than CSE) than you should prepare for Gate.

Remarks:

Admission here is similar as any other NIT. You have to clear JEE Mains and apply for Jossa counselling. There is no interview or group discussion round for qualification. For cutoff you can check Jossa website.

Knowing NITUK

What I Liked

I like the hotel infrastructure because it is recently made and is in very good condition.
I like the activities organised by the clubs accordingly.

What I didn’t like

I didn't like the campus because it is not permanent.
I don't like the auditorium because it is in sharing with polytechnic college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college are average companies like TCS samsung Infosys Axtenctureare ect come for campus placements the heights package is about 2000000 lpa and average package is about 1300000 lpa .

Remarks:

I have given JEE Main exam to take addmission in the college and the cut of decided by the NTA according to the ratio of students. There is different cut off for every category. I prepared for the exams from a local coaching centre at my place.

Knowing NITUK

What I Liked

The hostel building are good and the facilities are good enough.
The sports tournament organised in the college.

What I didn’t like

The college is in leas and the are is also too short
There are no proper auditorium in the college it was shared with polytechnic college.

Placement Experience:

The placement are on normal scale. Famous companies like TCS, samsung, Infosys , Axtenctureare come for campus placements . The placement ratio is average and the heights package according to me is 20,00,000 .

Remarks:

I have given JEE Main exam to take addmission in this college. The cut-off is decided after the exam . There is a registration process after the exam clearance. I have prepared for the exams in a local coaching centre at my home town.

A time which is full of experience

What I Liked

The locations being a nature lover I feel perfect place for study
Near to all the panch Kedar and famous hilly area

What I didn’t like

Campus is very dull nd boring no proper facilities
Inrfa is under developing so that makes it bad

Placement Experience:

Well if you want to seat in placement than you must have cgpa above 7.5 and if you talk about placement there are very few for this core mostly studnet hire as mass for cs based company with average package of 6 lpa

Remarks:

Yes I have given JEE mains exam for this College and the location made me choose this College like I love mountains and the college is in between mountains and after giving jee mains there are councelling which held twice a time for documents verification

ABOUT NIT UTTARAKHAND

What I Liked

Hostels are modern. Faculties are very friendly.
Beautiful Mountains and hills. Every year there is a trip from college to kedarnath, Badrinath,etc

What I didn’t like

Campus is not that good. Small campus.
Curriculum is very busy. 3 exams in a semester is headache. Above which tough exams are held.

Placement Experience:

Placement are not at the level of top Nits but it is way much better then GFTIs. Around 70-80% placement on record. Accenture, Amazon, Flipkart, Oracle, optym,etc. last year highest package is around 25-28lakh per annum and average 11lakh.

Remarks:

Main reason for choosing this college is NIT tagline. I was not the top student in studies but i got electronics in this college. Electronics is a good branch our government is supporting VLSI industries in India. Cutoff at my time 2021 is 94% for electronics for home state in Jee mains. I have trained my self from youtube only. There are plenty of youtube lectures there for each subject.

Underrated College

What I Liked

I like the people, seniors or my batchmate. They are fine is wine actually, very supportive and if you need help they will be there for you any minute
The campus, to be honest the small campus will give you more exposure, the classes will be close to you, and the people around you will see you every moment.

What I didn’t like

The mess food, it was ridiculous in many way.
The facilities are very restricted and there is no such events organised by college. Last it was technical fest PRODYOGEEKY 2023.

Placement Experience:

There are placements and they give good placements, Samsung r&d, adobe, and many more companies visit our college. The highest package is from ece branch got 31 lpa, and the average package is 10 lpa. The 90% percent placement rate in mechanical engineering. My plan has not been decided yet.

Remarks:

Yes! I had to appear in the JEE mains exam, and I got the college based on the marks I scored in the JEE mains. During counseling, I was pretty sure that I would get this college so I put this college as a higher priority.

College Safar

What I Liked

Faculty and clubs perform very good, active students participation in clubs,

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure, placement rates, mess food

Placement Experience:

Yes, job opportunities are good, campus placement is also good, hostel rooms are good, faculty teaching is awesome, active clubs participation, and their activities, highest package was around 28 lakh CTC in Walmart, and most of the students get placed.

Remarks:

Yes, I have the JEE mains examination, I got selected for this college, and I got around 97 percentile through this college in computer science and engineering, the cutoff for the computer science and engineering branch is around 97 percentile, For NIT is only one examination which you to qualify.

NIT Uttarakhand honest review for my juniors.

What I Liked

Competition is not too high as number of students is less. Students get placed easily. Faculties are very helpful in placements also.
Place where college is situated is very beautiful in the mountains.

What I didn’t like

Campus is very small in just 5 acres as compared to other NIT colleges where all other NITs having atleast minimum campus of 300 acres.
Mess food is not too good and food available outside of the college is also not worth of money we pay them.

Placement Experience:

Students should maintain a CGPA to be eligible for placement most of the companies set the criteria at 7.5 CGPA for being eligible for placements. Many recruiters visit the college like unacadmy, Mahendra and many others including some PSUs. The highest salary package offered in 2024 was 28 lpa and the average salary package of the college is 7.5 lpa. In the year 2024 95% of the students were placed but in 2024 placement of the college is not too good hardly 65% of students were placed. Placement in the other branches is okay but placement in the mechanical branch is good enough.

Remarks:

I got into NIT Uttarakhand by JOSSA counselling and I was not expecting this college. I chose the mechanical engineering branch because I love to learn about machine and their working. I was always curious about how machines work, how they design so many complex shapes, how the heavy turbines of Hydroelectric power plants how the engines work etc. After qualifying for JEE Mains you can get this college through JOSSA counselling if you are having the 92+ percentile ( for general candidates for others relief is there). In CSAB counseling you can get admission to NIT Uttarakhand at 80+ percentile. Just start preparing for jee mains and advance to get into this college there is no interview for admission.

Reality of nit uttarakhand

What I Liked

Infrastructure is quit good bsut faculty are very good at our college and campus life is not too good due to small campus
Infrastructure is under construction so not soo good.college doesn’t have its own cricket ground also

What I didn’t like

College is very small and maket is not developed
Campus life is average polytechnic students is also there

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria are simple only you have to complete your credit and you are a qualified company like Bel Tata Samsung etc come and offer about 8-15lac. this year's highest package is 30lacs and an average of 12lac. About 90% of students are placed and 10% go for higher studies. I to go for business.

Remarks:

I chose this college because the civil branch is good and I got exposure become many construction sites available in the area so I also get practical training easily. Jee mains is the only way you get college admission.

How's My College

What I Liked

I like the campus life due to less no. of students here so that i can know about every student here and interact with them
Many sports activites are organised , so the students doesn't feel borred or stressed

What I didn’t like

Mess facility is very poor i mean worst , if we do not get good food then we can not study and here it is the same
We don't have our own playground , auditorium, canteen ; everything is shared

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the civil engineering because i want to get in civil services line and goverment exams, so it is relatively better in this stream. Faculties are good here , there are Professors , assistant professors and Phd students who teach us theory and practical. There are two mid sem exams before the final one and difficulty is moderate. Tution fee for one sem is approx 70000Rs for general category.

Remarks:

I went through JOSAA counselling process then i got this college. Admissiion is done on he basis of jee main marks and branch is also depended on marks. When i came to this college the admission process was smooth and there was no problem countered in registration , just give all required documents and fees ; You are in.
