Peep into vmmc

What I Liked

Faculty are top notch.. infrastructure is one of the best here, well built labs and library and buildings..
College is in heart of Delhi..we have various places around to visit and roam..it has asia largest hospital and patient load is quite high..which is a plus point..

What I didn’t like

We don't have a auditorium here..and also college and hospital building are very close..so that serenity and peacefulness can't be felt..it's always a rush of vehicles patients and a hustle everywhere

Placement Experience:

There is as such no placements options available..we have neet pg exam based on which we are given hospital and the branch..based on the rank in neet pg exam. This exam is held every year on national level..we can appear in it after completing our internship

Internships Opportunities:

We usually have internships at the end of our mbbs which is for one year..and we are given stipend of 29000/month. There is as such no placements given in any medical college..after internship we have neet pg exam that decides which branch we get and which hospital

Vmmc - it awaits you

What I Liked

Infrastructure is modern and well maintained
Many building like SIC , SSB , largest OPD

What I didn’t like

Campus doesnt have a proper foot all ground
Doesnt have a auditorium which is required during fests

Placement Experience:

There are no placements but a compulsory internship in the college itself. This internship provides ample amount of experience to the students. The stipend for ?23,500 for each month . The students are posted in each ward.

Internships Opportunities:

Right now im in 1st year so no i haven’t opted for internship. Tye college is great. My friend vanya sikka who got into the college last yeat helped with the documents of it . Very nice of her and her experience has been great.

What I Liked

Faculty is so helpful, infrasture of college is nice has various departments
Campus is good, campus life is good u can have canteen doffrent mess and have food there easily

Placement Experience:

There is no placement job for the mlt course its must for mbbs and other paramedical mbbs have the placement bpo cohrse has tge placement depends on the year and marks obtained and filed where gehy work

Internships Opportunities:

No i did not oopt for any intership till now i cannot guve u the propriate answer fir the following there are intership presnet at the clg for various subject and courses it might be unpaid and mbbs intership are paid

What I Liked

Classroom are very comfortable fully ac
Hostel are also good they are clean and mess food is also good

What I didn’t like

There is very little space to hangout with friends
Sports facilities are not much available

Placement Experience:

There is no placement cell as such one has to do a compulsory internship of a year in the hospital. Also, it is a paid internship where we get a salary of around 30000 per month. Most of the students opt for PG after graduation but if you are an MBBS student only then also you will fetch a nice package.

Everything you know about vmmc

What I Liked

Library is the best part of the college
The classes, lecture halls and faculty of the college is well experienced.

What I didn’t like

Students don’t have much options to sit after classes gets over because we don’t get a permanent classroom
In winters we have places to sit as there is no problem from the sun but in summers library is the only option left for us to sit comfortably in AC.

Placement Experience:

Our college doesn’t provide any placement. But we have lab postings from the 1st year to learn practical knowledge for our course which will help a lot in our future as we are gonna do this work in labs after graduation.

Internships Opportunities:

Our college gave us lab posting to work and learn how labs in hospitals work there are almost 8 labs in vmmc histology lab , cytology lab, bio chem ,micro , pathology,ccc and more that will help to gain knowledge and how to do test such as cbc, lft, kft etc

VMMC- a divine place

What I Liked

What I like most about my college is it has internal pg quota facility.
Minimal hostel fees with good facilities.

What I didn’t like

College campus is bit smaller compared to other colleges.
Hostel Mess food is not much good in quality.

Placement Experience:

In medical colleges, the term placement is not suitable. After doing the MBBS we have to take the NEET PG exam and according to the rank in this exam, we get we specialized stream. The students from my college get seats in the very prestigious AIIMS Delhi, Maulana Azad, and many other prestigious colleges. Every year out of 170, 130 to 140 students are selected.

Internships Opportunities:

After doing four years of our MBBS, in the final year i.e. fifth year, we get to do an internship in the attached Safdarjung Hospital. The stipend for the same is about Rs.30,000 per month. There are night and day shifts and sometimes we have to work for 24-48 hrs straight.

VMMC: The dream college

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the New emergency block and the super speciality block is just amazing. It is beyond expectations from a government institute.
In the hostel we get free electricity and that’s the best part i I guess. Free doesn’t mean we waste it but yes we use it freely!

What I didn’t like

The disliking character is that out campus is a bit small according the patients it acquires.
The mess food is not as good as one expects but one has to make some adjustments. everything can’t be just perfect!

Placement Experience:

There is no such word as ‘placement’ here. After completing our 4.5 years of MBBS, we are supposed to do an internship for 1 year in our Safdarjang hospital itself. For that, we get a stipend of around? 30,000 per month. After this, we have to take the NEET PG exam based on which we get a seat in post-graduation.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship is done after the completion of 4.5 years of MBBS. The internship takes place in the Safdarjang Hospital itself. The duties are different according to different departments. But sometimes it is so tiresome that one has a shift of straight 24hrs. A stipend of around? 30,000 is given monthly

VMMC -An Opportunity for Lab Technologists to Learn

What I Liked

The Infrastructure of our college is very very good as compared to other colleges which offers BSc MLT course. The college building is fully air conditioned and has clean washrooms. All the Practical Laboratories have all the required equipments.
The faculties of our college are one of the great doctors of India. Most of the teachers are very friendly with students and clears all the doubts of students.

What I didn’t like

Because the Hospital is also attached with the college that's why you would see rush and chaos everytime in our campus.
Like all other Medical colleges our college also don't give any placements opportunities and it should be changed. Students should get chances in college to get job opportunities.

Placement Experience:

The only negative point of the college and course is ,you don't get placements through college. You have to apply in different hospitals and laboratories for job after the completion of your course. You may have to give entrance exam or you may be selected on the basis of your interview.

Internships Opportunities:

The college provides the internship cum Lab Postings in their own Safdarjung Hospital. This is not like a paid internship but students get a certificate which may be helpful to get different jobs. The students are posted in different laboratories of the hospital for one month in every laboratory.
