BIT Jaipur Admission Dates 2027-28

BIT Jaipur Courses and Fees

BIT Jaipur conducts undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in engineering, management, computer applications and science. B.Tech is its main programme and uses JEE Main-based national counselling for admission.

Students can choose from six BBA specialisations: Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, and Marketing. B.Tech has four branches, and CSE and AI receive the largest number of applications because of their placement results.

BIT Jaipur Admission Process

B.Tech seats at BIT Jaipur are allotted only through JEE Main merit and the national JoSAA or CSAB counselling process. There is no management quota for this programme. Depending on the course, other admissions use Class 12 marks, institute-level tests or interviews.

B.Tech Admission

Applicants must pass 10+2 with at least 60%. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory, along with one subject from Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or a technical vocational area.

• Take JEE Main and secure a valid All-India Rank.
• Complete registration on the JoSAA portal within the official counselling period.
• Add BIT Jaipur and the preferred courses, then lock the choices.
• Check the portal for the seat allotment letter.
• Pay the seat acceptance fee and visit BIT Jaipur for document verification.

Lateral entry to B.Tech is open to Diploma holders and B.Sc graduates who studied a relevant subject.

BBA and BCA Admission

BBA and BCA applicants need at least 50% in Class 12. They apply through the BIT Mesra admission portal, and their qualifying examination marks determine selection. Neither programme requires an entrance examination.

MCA Admission

MCA applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Mathematics must have been studied either in graduation or at the 10+2 level. Selection includes the BIT online entrance test and a personal interview.

M.Sc and Ph.D. Admission

Depending on the chosen specialisation, M.Sc selection uses merit or an institute entrance test. For Ph.D. admission, applicants need a valid GATE or UGC NET score and must attend a research interview arranged by BIT Mesra.

BIT Jaipur B.Tech Cutoff

Earlier admission cycles show that General Category applicants generally needed a JEE Main score in the 70 to 85 percentile range for CSE and AI. This range made these branches accessible to applicants with mid-range JEE Main scores. The required score changes each year according to the number of applicants, while EEE usually closes at a lower cutoff.

BIT Jaipur Placements

BIT Jaipur's highest offer for the 2024 graduating batch reached INR 24.50 LPA. Employers selected 52 students in total, including 39 students from Computer Science Engineering. CSE therefore contributed most of the recorded placements.

Technology companies form the main recruiter group. Cognizant, TCS and Tech Mahindra regularly hire in large numbers, while Cisco and IBM have offered networking and software roles. Teachnook recruited the most students in 2024, selecting 10 students. Intuit and Amdocs have also recruited from the institute in recent placement seasons.

Before recruitment begins, the placement cell conducts resume workshops, practice technical interviews and aptitude training. Recent cycles have recorded much lower placement rates for non-CSE branches, particularly EEE.

BIT Jaipur Campus and Infrastructure

BIT Jaipur has a compact 10-acre campus in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The institute does not provide residential hostels within the campus. Male and female students can use nearby off-campus accommodation, which costs INR 42,000 to INR 58,000 per year.

Academic facilities comprise 14 air-conditioned classrooms with LCD projectors, 15 specialised laboratories and a computer centre housing more than 430 computers. Students can use IEEE and ScienceDirect through the digital library. Other facilities include an English language laboratory, a mechanical workshop and a seminar hall that seats 150 people.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Students can join technical and cultural clubs and take part in engineering festivals and other events conducted across BIT Mesra's extension-centre network.

BIT Jaipur Scholarships

The main financial assistance offered at BIT Jaipur is the GP Birla Scholarship. It supports B.Tech students who meet both the academic merit and family income conditions, using funds from the BIT Mesra scholarship corpus.

Students who meet the conditions apply through the BIT Mesra scholarship portal. To continue receiving the scholarship, they must maintain the required CGPA in every semester. Falling below the CGPA requirement in any semester can end eligibility for the following year.

BIT Jaipur vs LNMIIT Jaipur vs Poornima University

BIT Jaipur, LNMIIT Jaipur and Poornima University are private engineering options considered by many applicants in Rajasthan. All three accept JEE Main scores and attract a similar group of engineering aspirants.

LNMIIT Jaipur has the largest campus, provides hostels and reports stronger placement results. It also holds a higher NIRF position than BIT Jaipur. BIT Jaipur follows BIT Mesra's standardised, AICTE-compliant curriculum and offers a structured B.Tech education at a mid-range fee. Poornima University is newer, but it has lower fees and a wider selection of courses. Students who require accommodation inside the campus may find LNMIIT or Poornima more suitable because BIT Jaipur has no on-campus hostel.
