What I Liked

Many MOU (MANY TIEUP WITH company ) And many trainings centers are there
Like Bosch hydraulic Janatic pneumatic Solaris more and more For more information about excellence centre in our college check it out in mcet.in website

What I didn’t like

You can go inside the college any time with your I'd card but you cat go out without permission u need to write letter it's long process it's like a jail
And no celebration for any thing just study and study exatra

Placement Experience:

Yeah in our placement are pretty good but only. 50% student get good and well offer other are just pushed to get any job and they let us to showcase there placement percentage and just they push you into any company and its over about there job

Internships Opportunities:

No intern ship is provided in college you need to search and get intern ship and some students are getting but not in our department and well computer stream students will get more intern ship and good placement upto 13 LPA

Great College for your UG program

What I Liked

I like my college lab facilities very much. There are multiple labs with High Spec computers with RTX 4080 GPU's for AI model training and other graphical designing processes which require high computational power. They allow us to access the lab anytime, even during during after hours and holidays for project works and for improving our skills. They are all Air Conditioned and monitored well for any defects and faults with separate lab assistants for every lab.
The Auditorium which is named CC Hall is very spacious and can accommodate all the students at a time. All the big cultural and gatherings are held there. I have mny good memories of my college life at that venue.
There are separate seminar halls for every department in our college which are air-conditioned and well maintained which can accommodate nearly 250 students at a time.

What I didn’t like

our college campus have a problem which i hate is that is a habitat for hundreds of pigeons and their droppings causes a nasty smell on particular places here. But the management is taking necessary steps recently to move them from the campus without killing them.
Some of the labs are not air-conditioned and is very difficult to attend lab sessions during summer seasons due to heat.
The classrooms are also not air-conditioned anywhere which makes it difficult to occupy them.

Placement Experience:

There are about 120 prominent companies sting our campus for placement every year. we also have records of placement like 51 LPA and 47 LPA of packages offered for our students of 2024 batch by Microsoft and Amazon and multiple 20 LPA packages by Juspay and other companies. Our college have a strong placement training team which have connections with many other training academies to train us for good placements with reasonable packages, as a second year student I have experiences of interviews for internships which was referred by my department HOD. If you are strong in technical skills on a specific domain and have decent academic score of above 7.5 CGPA with no arrears you can easily get placed in a good company in campus placement. They also help us to attend off campus placement.

Internships Opportunities:

I have worked as a Marketing Intern for MiPhi pvt.ltd, Bangalore for stipend of 10000 Rs for a month for organzing a AI Tech Summit which also made gain knowledge on AI from the industrial experts whom I contacted while the internship period and made made good connections with them. I am also about about start my summer internship with CubeAI solutions operating on KSR college of Technology in Thiruchengode on a project related to AI agents.

The review of Dr.MCET

What I Liked

Everything is good. Facilities are good in their jobs. Need some development in infrastructure but they are into it already.
They used to conduct events like Varnam which has both technical and non technical events.

What I didn’t like

The cafeteria definitely need a glow up! It's not good. They have to refurbish it.
The auditorium need some upgrade too. It's good but still need some few good upgrades.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. They help you find internships. I'm currently in 2nd year of my course. I don't have a good idea about the placement and internship. But I'm sure they help you place in a company.

Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) offers various internship opportunities to enhance students' practical skills and industry exposure. A real look at mcet

What I Liked

There is a well equiped library sections in our college such as journerl sections, insudtry view and E- libraries in our college
The labs in our college are well equipped and there is a seperate lab incharges for each lab.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure of some of the blocks in our collegs is seems like a old buildings
The cafeteria place is not good and the taste of snacks in the cafeteria is average.

Placement Experience:

In IT stream two of my seniors got placed in top MNC companies with stipend 1.5 lakhs. The top recruiting companies of our college are zoho,tcs,wipro and capgemini. The overall placement percentage is quite good.

Internships Opportunities:

No , till now i have not been opted for any interships but some of my friends are gone through a inrerships with scholarships that are provided by the companies that have a centre of excellence in our college campus.

What I Liked

I like the most important thing in our college is that infrastructure and lab facilities?
And their services provide the best for practice in our college

What I didn’t like

About campus for the control students that they do not come here and there in the canteen is
And the time of time was very tough during the placement time. It was tough to award of the college. We end up college 7:30 PM.

Placement Experience:

The job opportunities attending to our colleges was like it was quite difficult to placing on city domain of campus, but in on campus, the colleges provided up to 4 to 5 dedicated to cyber city department

Internships Opportunities:

I have water internet cyber tech engine as a junior tester. I have a monthly iPhone up to 8000. The duration of the internship was up to 3 months. I have learned various things in that start-up and I was worked as a test of several fortune. 500 websites

What I Liked

Faculty is average. Some expectationly talented faulty are working inside the college.
College infrastructure is good. Apart from the college infrastructure.

What I didn’t like

Two out 10 expectationly talented staffs only working
The infrastructure is good in the college. They have mixed with polytechnic building and school ground.

Placement Experience:

Placement are good. Companies never ask you arrears but the college doesn't allow arrear students into the placement. They have placement cell. They haven't provided any GD or other activities to improve our skills

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted any internship program. They haven't given any internship program during the pass-out year. The companies like Infosys, Robert Bosch, Etc visited. There is no internship program provided.

A Life at MCET

What I Liked

The faculties in the department I’ve chosen are good and the freedom the give to the student is greatly appreciated. There are many kind of extracurricular activities that are conducted after the college hours.
There are many clubs inside the campus each contributing their part and students can join the clubs they are interested and give their contribution too and a student can involved in any club activity as per their preferences

What I didn’t like

The college has a canteen where the food is average and could be much better and served better, but though they only provide a limited menu and the taste could be much better. And the cost around the canteen is higher compared to the bakeries and restaurants outside the campus where the tastes are much better.
The main thing to note for students eating non vegetation is that the college campus is a purely vegetarian campus and non vegetarian isn’t provided inside the camps, if though you need to consume any meat you might be able to get outside the campus.

Placement Experience:

The college offers good placements to students and the training starts from the second year of academic itself. The eligibility criteria for attending placements are no standing arrear. There are top companies like Zoho, MEDA, TCS, soliton, caresoft etc who are recruiting students each year at a good package. The average starting packages ranges from 2.5 LPA to 8.5 LPA.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are available from the college and are sent to industries related to department and the course of study. The internship are like 2 weeks at the 2nd year, 3 weeks at the 3rd year and 4 to 6 weeks at the final year.

What I Liked

College infrastructure is very good and nice and faculties are very friendly and kind
Campus life is incomplete without friends

What I didn’t like

Should give more importance to the sports
Should give more practical tasks than theoritical

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria for placement is based on the company that we appeared for and in the CSE dept most 90% of the placement will be done. The average package is 3LPA and the highest is 11LPA. My plan is placements.

Internships Opportunities:

In the year of 3rd and 4th year, we will be allowed to join mandatory internship and inside the campus also there are companies providing internships and we have to do a task during the period and submit the project to the department

The college holds a record of 99% placement of students for the past 5 years. Many MNCs such as ZOHO, Capgemini, hero, TVS, Infosys, and Accenture come for recruitment. The college also offers placement training to students depending on the job domain preferred by the students.

Internships Opportunities:

I have opted 3 internships 1. Project management intern - FORGE, The main work is to manage the projects, schedule work, and meetings, and take care of material procurement. 2. Technitto I was working as a tech intern at this startup and have got a stipend of 20000.
