Placement Experience:

WCE attracts wide range of reputable companies like Google Microsoft Siemens TATA Nvidia etc. CSE and IT students tent to get higher placement rates. The college facilitates internship offers which lead to pre placement offers(PPOs)

Remarks:

WCE has a strong placement record ,with a significant percentage of students securing jobs . This college attracts reputable companies for recruitment, offering competitive salary packages. Admission is based on MHTCET scores obtained and JEE Main score. Seat allocation is conducted through CAP rounds. Even if a student has a JEE main score ,They still have to go through CAP rounds. The application process is generally conducted online. Merit list is prepared based on entrance exam score

1st year in WCE Sangli

What I Liked

The college is covered in trees so it's refreshing to move around.
The college has a main group for sports surrounded by a track and generally peacocks can be seen roaming free.

What I didn’t like

Google says the campus is 90 acres but it's not. Most part is undeveloped and some of the part includes schools by the MKES society. So it's not 90 acres it's not that huge campus.
The college surrounding is a little orthodox so it can be a little challenging for some students to settle but with time u will get adjusted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since the college has good placements for every branch so I was okay with choosing any branch that was offered to me. The faculty is knowledgeable and helpful but also strict. Digital boards and PPTs are used for teaching purposes and also notes are provided where required. The employed teaching method is good but can be a little challenging for the freshers as most are not familiar with learning through PPTs. The exams are held twice a semester. The mid semester exam [MSE], which is a 30 marks exams and End semester exam [ESE] is a 50 marks exam and 20 marks are for in-sem exam [ISE]. The form of ISE varies from faculty to faculty. Some give assignments while others takes multiple tests. The exam difficulty usually varies between easy to moderate.

Remarks:

I got my admissions through MHT-CET cap rounds. I had a percentile of 93.24 and this college was alloted to me in my second Cap round. The admission process was easy. The student volunteers were helpful and also the instructions given by the teachers were easy to understand. This college is one amongst the best in Maharashtra and also offers good placements.

An Underrated College

What I Liked

Campus life - The campus life is overall good
Faculty - The faculty here is supportive and understanding

What I didn’t like

Hostel buildings - Hostel buildings are old and lack facilities like washing machines for boys hostels.
Mess food - Mess food is average, many students opt for mess outside college.

Placement Experience:

The placement here is decent. CSE,IT and Electronics branch have higher placement rated than other branches. Companies like Schneider electric, Druva, Seimens,Cadence, etc. visit here. Every year more than 95% students get placed while others opt for higher education. I am planning to pursue MTech after the degree.

Remarks:

Good aspects : Strong academics and practical exposure Good placements (CS,IT, Electronics) Active campus life and student clubs Bad aspects : Dated hostel and below average mess food Limited core placements (efforts afe being made for improvisation) Lesser industry exposure due to its location Admission process: Admission is based on MHT-CET and JEE mains scores. Seat allotment is done through CAP rounds conducted by CET cell. I chose WCE for its strong academics, good placements and well-equipped infrastructure. The campus has a peaceful environment.

Unbiased review of walchand college of engineering sangli.

What I Liked

Campus is really good, some faculty are good at teaching as well as behavior
Infrastructure of college is good, club culture is also the good point

What I didn’t like

Director of the college is not support art and sports more likely,
Hostel as well as washroom facility is not good

Placement Experience:

Placement and internships are really good. Some company have criteria to get 7+ CGPA. Highest package of last year is 61Lpa from cse department. Average package are 12 to 20lpa . Most of the students place on campus and some get placed off campus

Remarks:

Placement rate of this college is more than any other colleges in this area. This college give you the admission by mht cet entrance exam conducted by Maharashtra government, cut off is always above 90% and for cs it will be above 99%

A Honest Review about Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli

What I Liked

The Location & atmosphere of college provide a great environment to be in
Faculties and lab facilities are very good

What I didn’t like

Hostels are a bit old and need urgent repairing
Mess food is quite good in taste but cleanliness is an issue

Placement Experience:

There are a lot of companies visiting the campus every year. The eligibility criteria varies from company to company but having a CGPA of 7.5 is sufficient for most of the companies. The average package for civil engineering is around 5 LPA. The major companies visiting are LnT, SPCL, TCE, etc

Remarks:

The admission to this college is purely based on merit. The exams required are Maharashtra CET and some seats are also for JEE students. However major amount of seats are for CET only. Also additionally diploma students get admission to direct second year as well.

What I Liked

The first and foremost thing would be the placements
The peer group, it's supportive as well as competitive.

What I didn’t like

The faculty it is decent but alike every other college a few of them are great.
The infrastructure, as the college is old. The infrastructure is not that modern.

Placement Experience:

Well the placement statistics are quite great. With highest package of 43 LPA and average of nearly 8.5 LPA. However for technical branches like CS and IT the average goes to nearly 12 LPA. Also there is a slight culture of civile services.

Remarks:

Well I got this college through MHTCET. However you can get it also through JEE Mains. To get a decent branch you need nearly 98+ in MHTCET or 96+ in JEE Mains as a general candidate. And definitely it's one of the best colleges through MHTCET.

What I Liked

Campus is good. Almost all Sports are available to play.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty is supportive except 1 or 2.Teaching is as same as other engineering colleges some teachers teaches really good and we understand the concepts properly but some teachers teaching is not that much understandable.

Remarks:

College Campus is Good.College campus is vast lots of places to wonder. Ground for playing cricket, football and different ground for basketball and volleyball. Special Hall for table - tennis and badminton.

What I Liked

i really love the campus area and canteen food
College Infrastructure is also quite good faculty is not that good

What I didn’t like

I personally don't think time for college is right like 10 to 5:30 it is too more
Due to this we do get very less time for ourselves

Placement Experience:

This college is well known for its placement many of the students do get placement many get chance to do internship in their third year highest package is around 44 lakhs I guess. Placement ratio is good.

Remarks:

This college is one of from top 10 engineering colleges in Maharashtra, it is well known for its placement many students do chose this college for placement purpose, campus area is also of 90 acres which is really nice.

Walchand college Of Engineering Sangli Honest Review

What I Liked

The greenery in college and the vintage structure but modern facilities provided here.
I love the way all seniors help us the faculty and seniors both are supporting, I like the campus very much.

What I didn’t like

There is no particular thing I dislike but I guess the 75% attendance criteria will be one reason only.
Overall the college is good but the hostel structure is not so good if they work upon it then it might be very beneficial for all students

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good and very nice top companies like Google, amazon, microsoft come here and also there are many intership opportunities for all such top companies which mostly starts for 3rd year students this intership are paid and they earn like 1 lakh per month and may be of 3-6 months summer internship type, so other than it the placements are good with top placement

Remarks:

So I knew this college I wanted this college because it's an autonomous college and it's Government aided that means it's a government college itself, the placements are top notch even though Sangli is not that considered area but this college comes under top 10 colleges in Maharashtra in terms of placements so the placement cell is very good here.

Honest review

What I Liked

Our college is very big It is of 90 acres There are many trees
It is less polluted and is good for survival

What I didn’t like

I dislike very few things They don't give us extra space for fun and entertainment
Every event we need permission from faculty

Placement Experience:

Minimum 7 cgpa is required to attend for placement Minimum 7 cgpa criteria is applied in our college If less cgpa then less placement chances More the cgpa more chances of placement Higher branches have more placement

One of the best college of Maharashtra. Walchand college of engineering Sangli is best college of Maharashtra as it is located in main city of sangli. Mostly students avoid Pune and Mumbai but they perfer
