I had a wish to become a doctor, that prompted me on choosing this course. The faculty are well qualified, the teaching method is also very decent, they teach very nicely. The term exams are on time, and the difficulty level is moderate

Course- MBBS Chose this course primarily due to interest in joining healthcare. Qualification of faculty: The faculty is top notch, being alumni from premier medical colleges like other AIIMS or PGIMER, JIPMER etc. they have several research papers to their name and have completed their SRship from renowned colleges. Teaching method followed is clinical based which values practical knowledge more. Classes are held in conventional PPT way in the lecture theater. 1 hr of lectures usually. I think this method suits well mostly for most faculties as its the most efficient way to deliver theoretical knowledge. Moreover many professors use interactive videos and demonstrations in their slides to further elaborate and deliver their concepts. Term exams are held timely with appropriate preparatory leaves preceding them. Difficulty level varies but is never too hard or too easy. The concepts tested are relevant and the exams are easy to pass with moderate amount of preparation beforehand.

MBBS offers job security and an opportunity to grow further as a doctor, that is why I chose the course. Academics here is top notch with faculty from top medical institutes. Faculty specializing in all the specialties and super-specialties teach you throughout the 5.5 years. Clinical postings in all the departments help you grow as a clinician. The only drawback is that there is a lot of scut work that you have to do during the internship.

Ok, MBBS is a compulsory course for anyone who is trying to be a doctor so that was a no brainer. The course is divided into 4 professional years and 1 year of internship. Each year has 4 exams - the midsem, the endsems, the pre professional exams and the professional exams. Not only that, each subject, each year takes monthly end modules or simply tests. The faculty are well a bit complicated to explain. But Id say out of 200 faculty members, 120 are good teachers. Teaching methods vary for different faculties. Some like to teach in clinically oriented ways, some like to teach I pathologically oriented ways. Most of them teach with the help of powerpoint presentations. They are great at solving doubts. One thing you might find lacking is time. As they rush through the topics often (well this is the story of every medical college ever). Even the huge topics like breast cancer gets alloted just 1 lecture for 1 hr and the faculties have no other choice to skip much portion of that.

I choose the course because I am passionate to become a doctor and save people life Faculties are highly qualified and they are empathetic towards student They make their own ppts and teaches us on screen and also on patients. Exam are conducted for 4 times in a year

AIIMS Rishikesh follows the guidelines and curriculum which is provided by NMC. When I used to appear for my professional exams it was MCQ pattern but now there is 50% mcqs and 50%subjective paper for prof exam so the pattern for newer batches has been revised. The faculty here is student friendly and if you have doubts about anything you can take appointment and go to their office directly and talk to them. Talking about the academics. Teachers try to make classes more interesting by making ppts and other interactive methods and opportunities are given to students as well.. there was also a concept of flip class where students use to give lectures under faculty guidance and learn how to brush up your confidence as well.

We have four main subjects that are different every year...tutors are very dedicated here and they guide us a lot in college and clinical areas..as they are also our clinical instructors...In a day we have 5-hour clinical postings and 3-hour classes...but it changes from time to time.

The course curriculum is good. the faculties are experienced and the teaching method is quite impressive but you have to study on your own also. Exams are held timely on schedule and the difficulty level is moderate.

The course is pretty good and has a good scope in the future for obvious reasons as the medical field is a growing field globally. You can be a nursing officer in AIIMS or any other government set up, you can be a clinical instructor or nursing professor. nursing also has a good scope abroad.

The faculty here are amazing just to say the least. The student-to-teacher ratio is 20:1 in most departments which is helpful when u have doubts. Even during lectures after each topic, they let us ask questions, and sometimes kind to sleep in the class as well. Most of them come from top institutes like AIIMS Delhi, PGI Chandigarh, etc, and have a lot of publications under their name in top journals and they help in UG research as well. Term exams twice were divided into Mcqs and theory, the Mcqs surprisingly being more difficult than expected. The tuition fee is 5356 for 5 years which makes it accessible to most people with good grades.
