CMAT 2027 Exam Date

7 February 2027 is the tentative CMAT date in NTA's examination calendar. The calendar, issued on 16 September 2026, is an advance examination schedule. It is not the CMAT registration notification.

The 2027 application, fee-payment, correction, city-slip, admit-card and result dates have not been announced. Do not use a predicted registration month as a submission deadline. The CMAT registration process explains the form and document requirements separately.

CMAT Previous-Year Schedule

The 2026 cycle began in October 2025 and ended with the result in February 2026. The registration dates below include the extension, rather than the original November 17 closing date.

NTA conducted the examination in one shift. The city notice was dated 16 January and the admit-card release notice 21 January. These were separate releases, not two names for the same document.

Registration, Fee Payment and Correction Deadlines

The previous cycle allowed the application form until 24 November and successful fee payment until 25 November, both at 11:50 PM. That extra payment day did not create another day to start a new form after the form deadline.

Correction was available from 26 to 28 November. It let registered candidates edit specified fields, including names, education details, category and uploaded photograph/signature. Mobile number, email and permanent/present addresses remained locked.

Corrections could be submitted only once, and an applicable fee increase had to be paid. A student who missed registration could not use the correction window to enter the examination. The CMAT qualification and category rules help identify which information needs supporting documents.

City Slip and Admit Card Dates

The city-intimation slip gives advance information about the examination city. The admit card gives the allotted centre and session and is required for entry. A city slip cannot replace it.

For 2026, students used their application number and date of birth for both downloads. The CMAT admit-card guide covers the printed documents, accepted ID and discrepancy process.

City preferences in the form do not guarantee a specific centre. Avoid fixing the route to an assumed venue before the admit card gives the actual address.

CMAT Exam Timing and Reporting

The 2026 examination ran from 9 AM to 12 noon, with a standard duration of 180 minutes. The bulletin asked students to report two hours before the examination for entry and verification.

Eligible candidates had compensatory-time provisions of at least 20 minutes per hour. This required the applicable disability/writing-limitation conditions; it was not an extension available to every candidate.

The allotted date, shift and centre cannot be changed simply because a candidate prefers another session. NTA's 2026 rules did not provide a re-test for a student unable to attend the scheduled examination.

Answer Key and Result Timeline

After the examination, NTA releases the recorded responses and provisional answer key for challenges. In 2026, this window was 31 January to 2 February. Subject experts examined the challenges before the result was prepared from the final key.

The result was declared on 17 February 2026. Because the examination used one shift, the scorecard showed the marks obtained and their corresponding percentile scores. A percentile is not the percentage of marks out of 400.

The previous gap between the examination and result does not fix the next result date. Result timing depends on the notified response-key and finalisation process.

MBA Admission Dates After CMAT

NTA does not conduct a single CMAT counselling round for all MBA colleges. Students apply separately to participating institutions, which set their own shortlist and selection schedules.

Track the programme application deadline, score-submission deadline, interview or group-discussion date, and offer-acceptance payment date for each chosen institution. Some of these may fall before the CMAT result, so waiting for a scorecard before checking applications can mean missing an institutional deadline.
