CMAT Merit List 2024
CMAT 2024 Merit List will be released in June 2024 after the declaration of the result. All the candidates are assigned ranks based on their CMAT result. Candidates can calculate their percentile using the following formula:

CMAT Marking Scheme
CMAT score will be calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect responses following the given CMAT marking scheme:
- +4 for every correct answer
- -1 for every incorrect answer
- 0 for unanswered questions
CMAT Tie-Breaker Criteria
If more than one candidate scores the same marks, the authorities have tie-breaker criteria to determine the CMAT 2024 ranks. If the overall CMAT score is the same, then the ranks will decided based on the sectional scores in the following order:
- Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
If the tie-breaker still exists, candidates with the less negative marking will be ranked higher. If that does not settle the ranks, older candidates will be ranked higher.
If none of the above CMAT tie-breaker criteria work, then the tying candidates will be ranked alphabetically as per their name.

- CMAT Result: Participating colleges will release their CMAT cutoffs based on the result. Eligible candidates scoring above the cutoff marks will be called to the institute for further selection process.
- Group Discussion: Selected candidates will be divided into smaller groups and assigned a topic. They must discuss the topic with valid points for 10 minutes. They will be judged based on their initiation, management, communication, and closure skills.
- Written Test: Shortlisted candidates will sit for a written ability test that will judge their writing, analytical, vocabulary, communication, and more skills.
- Personal Interview: Generally, PI is the final round of selection. An expert panel will question candidates to determine if they fit the criteria for admission.
The final selection of candidates for MBA admission via CMAT is done based on their performance in the various rounds - CMAT exam, GD, Written Exam, and PI.

Hello Abhishek! If you have successfully registered at the official NTA website to avail the facility of the Test Practice Centre then you can visit the Centre. Your parents may drop you at the test centre but they will not be allowed to enter the test centre during the exam or practise mock tests.
For Undergraduate courses, applicants must have a completed 12th grade with 45% aggregate marks, 40% aggregate for restricted categories.
For Postgraduate courses, applicants must complete their graduation with at least 50% of their degree in their respective stream from an accredited university. 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST students.
