The CMAT 2026 is expected to follow a pattern similar to last year’s exam. The syllabus for 2026 has been designed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is similar to the syllabus of major MBA entrance exams.

  • It is divided into 5 sections : Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
  • The CMAT entrance exam has 100 questions, with 20 questions asked in each section. It is aimed to test a student’s verbal ability, critical and analytical reasoning , quantitative aptitude as these decision-making abilities are needed for business management studies.

Since all sections carry equal weightage, CMAT aspirants should ensure balanced preparation for all topics.

The fee for CMAT is INR 2,500 for male candidates belonging to the general category, and the fee for women and reserved category candidates is INR 1,250.
