GMAT Syllabus is specifically designed for aspiring MBA candidates. GMAT focus edition is accepted by more than 2,400 business schools and 7,700+ programs worldwide. The new and updated GMAT syllabus focuses more on evaluating candidates in a business world scenario. GMAT exam syllabus has made some major changes, it removed the analytical writing and integrative reasoning section and included the data insights section.

Sentence correction is removed now, and data sufficiency has been added in the data insights section. 

GMAT Exam scores remain valid for five years from the candidate’s exam date. If you have taken the exam in the old exam format, the validity of GMAT score is still 5 years after your exam date. GMAT quantitative syllabus now evaluates the algebraic foundational problem-solving skills of the candidates. It is important to prepare GMAT syllabus for MBA with the updated study materials, as the old format is not available now.

Syllabus of GMAT Focus Edition

GMAT exam syllabus for Focus edition consists of three sections; quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, and data insights. Candidates now can complete their GMAT registration for the focus edition on the official website. The focus edition GMAT subjects are relevant to today’s business challenges, and opportunities. GMAT syllabus for the focus edition is shorter than before and now consists of 64 questions. GMAT Quantitative Syllabus

GMAT quantitative syllabus no longer consists of data-sufficiency questions. GMAT quantitative reasoning section measures the candidate's arithmetic foundational and algebraic knowledge. GMAT syllabus for quantitative contains 21 problem-solving questions. These question’s answers rely on logic and analytical skills, not the underlying GMAT Math syllabus. GMAT Verbal Syllabus

GMAT verbal syllabus has been updated and no longer includes sentence correction questions. GMAT Verbal reasoning topics analyze a candidate's ability to read and comprehend written material and evaluate arguments. The verbal reasoning of GMAT syllabus consists of 23 critical reasoning and reading comprehension questions. Questions in critical reasoning based on a short reading passage, fewer than 100 words.

GMAT Data Insights Syllabus

GMAT new syllabus has added a new section called data insights. This section is designed to evaluate the candidate's data analyzing and interpreting abilities in real-world business scenarios. GMAT Data insights consist of 20 questions from multiple sources. Data insights GMAT exam topics include graphic interpretation, two-part analysis, table analysis, data sufficiency, and multi-source reasoning.

GMAT Exam Pattern

GMAT exam pattern has been updated recently as the focus edition. GMAT focus edition testing appointments have already begun from 7th November. From February 1, 2024, GMAT focus edition is the only version available for aspirants. Focus edition GMAT exam pattern and syllabus consists of 3 sections and assesses candidate's business skills instead of general skills. Aspirants now get over 2 minutes per question, and the new GMAT syllabus consists of a total of 64 questions
