Dislikes
- The most hated things is personally for me is politica. Some studenta are getting involved in political parties and they always try to create some nuisance situation in campus
Remarks :
After 10th i have selected commerce as a stream, and after class 12 i have applied for 3 to 4 colleges and Goenka is one of them. And also this college is my personal favourite for their unique study culture and atmosphere. Admission process is based on the marks obtained in class 12 . minimum cut off for this college is 85 %tile for SC/ST and 93%tile for unreserved students. We don't have to go through any GD PI season for interview .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Since my childhood i love to do calculate. Thats why after my 10th i choose accountancy as my subjects for fields. We jave well educated and PhD doctorate professors for accountancy's. They are very friendly and always try to help the students about their study. Ee have most of the faculty are male and female too but less. They always take doubt solving classes at the end period of the college. Every six months Calcutta university takes semester exam. Goneka college is under Calcutta university and we have to go through the semester exam through out the courses. The level of difficulty is moderate for our university
Internships Opportunities :
I have qualified for a internship program in a CA Firm. I was selected as a junior accountants for this firm. I was stipends 2000/- per month. My role was a data I entry operator and tally projector and checking TDS & GST of the firm
Placement Experience :
Students who are secured 7.5 or above CGPA are eligible for placement. Companies like capgemini, Ernst &young, flipkart, tata comes every year for placement. Highest package for bcom graduates offered 5LPA and average package is 2.4 LPA. In our batch 40% students get placed. After getting my bcom honours degree i will pursue MBA for better job seeking mentality.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Admission fee is Rs 600/- and semester fee is for one semester is Rs 510/- and everything is included in semester fees excluding library fees. We have to pay separately for this Rs 250/- onwards. For SC/ST students have scholarship program like OASIS and swami Vivekananda scholarship for OBC student's.
Campus Life :
Campus life is one words awesome for me. Every year they organized college fest and fresher's programs. Our college library is not too much big but it is more than for us. We have books like accountancy, costing, taxation, economics, business maths, auditing in out library. We have availability of all types of commerce books. Our college have their own football team amd cricket team. They took parta in inter college competition held by kolkata municipal corporation. I was a part of our college nature club. In our college students are divided in various clubs like nature, adventure, food cluns.
Hostel Facilities :
Our college does not provide hostel facilities for the students. But for SC/ST students govt. Provides hostel at minimal costs. For general students they can apply for eden hindu hostel but availability is depends on first come first serve basis.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
