- The college is very very affordable. The class infrastructure is very good and is equipped with smart board.
- The senior of the college are very friendly. This college also has many feast going around the calendar.
Dislikes
- The campus is a bit small in size. The teachers are not that regular for the classes
- The attendance criteria is 75% which makes it difficult for CA/CS aspirants.But overall its a good college in Kolkata.
Remarks :
Most affordable college with good reputation in Kolkata.It is a merit based college so good grades can get you this college. Process to apply - Student can apply for the college through centralised portal of West Bengal.Cutoff is mostly above 90%.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Actually I am pursuing CA so Bcom was the best option Teacher are very experienced holding PhD degree and classes are very interactive. The term exams are conducted first with internal exams and then the written exam
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for any internship currently as the internship are offered to the third year student . Actually I will definitely join internship for the vast experience and exposure in the commerce fields.
Placement Experience :
The college provides a decent placement by IT companies and audit companies Salary ranging from 2-5lakh. Person scoring above 7-8 Cgpa has a decent chance of getting placement. My plan after completing degree is to appear for competitive exams.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Bcom honours in accounting and finance cost around 4500 in Goenka College of Commerce . Registration fee was 1200. Scholarship are also provided by the college. Recently SVSM Scholarship was announced by the college.
Campus Life :
Actually I am a first year student so I don't have any idea about fest. Books are always available in library A separate room is provided for indoor games. Many social handle are run by the student union.
Hostel Facilities :
Koliving Pg is the best pg in Kolkata for college students. Food here feels like homemade. Pg is very affordable according to your preference. The locality is very clean and food stalls are available in the locality.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
