- I like the College Infrastructure as the college is very big and classroom are big and spacious having windows.
- I prefer Library too as it has more than 3000 books enabling students to get knowledge from every discipline
Dislikes
- Our college doesn't organise more cultural events and Fests as compared to St.Xaviers and Bhawanipore Education Society College
- Our college education has not much exposure to industry and job needs
Remarks :
Our college is one of the most important college in Kolkata for Bcom.hons.This give me a dream to study in this college and I study very hard to make this reality.The cutoff for O.B.C.-B was something about 88%this year.Afterwarda my name come into the merit list there was many admission rounds but luckily I got admission in the first round.and then a physical verification round was there then my admission was done in my dream college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose Bcom.hons. because currently I am studying C.S.so that will help in my study and overall development.The teachers are highly qualified and fluent in english and bengali languages.Non bengali student can tell teachers freely that they don't understood and the teacher will communicate in English or sometimes in broken hindi too.There are 8 semester and in every semester there is 4 to 5 subject.Calcutta University doesnt give marks.This makes it more harder if u are a below average student.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for getting placement is to complete the course first.Our college is a home to Big 4 companies and other mid size firm hiring freshers for accountant roles,etc.The highest package last year was 6 lakh p.a. and the median salary package was 3-4 lakh p.a..Thers is only 10% chance that you will get Internship or job oppurtunities from college as they prefer students who are not getting any back paper in their respective course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our college total admission fees which was the only fees for entering into the college was Rs.1010 and for four years it was something around Rs.4040(excluding hostel fees and mess).There is also a fee for joining the union which was 1500rs. Payable to the Student Union.
Campus Life :
Our college campus is not as big as shown in Student of the Year movies like....In September,fresher student gets fresher party.In October,there would be QUEST(3 day cultural program).In November there would be Indoor sports competition and in December there would be Outdoor sports Competition.Our college has a gymnasium,2activity room having 2 carrom board and 1 Table Tennis board.Our college union name is T.M.C. Chattra Union.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
