- I would say the faculty members are highly educated and competent. And they are very supportive to the interested who are basically focused on their career.
- The office stuff of the college are extremely supportive regarding any issued occurred. For eg - I was frustrated about my Scholarship details which was rejected by the NSP portal but the student section stuff helped me to solved the issue without any delay.
Dislikes
- The outmost thing which I personally dislike the attendance issue i.e. 75% criteria to enrolled in internal examination.
- College doesn't provide any technical skills which the market demand. Only theoretical aspect cannot help you to get any job or anything else
Remarks :
It is a prestigious government commerce college among the all commerce college in West Bengal. Addmission process is simple as comparison to other colleges. There is a online portal for addmission process and you have to filled all the details prescribed in the portal. After the completion of filling details you to wait for the merit list which will be provided by the college itself in their website. Course Curriculum Overview :
Before making any comment, I would like to tell you that the course structure of the college has been changed due to new education system introduced by the government. Biggest disadvantage in old syllabus system, which I persuing is there no technical aspects in the college. Students like me who is currently completing their bcom graduation needs to developed their technical skills which the company wants during their requirements. All the other things in this college is great, regarding examination it is conducted frequently as compared to other colleges. There is no specific scholarship for students which the college provides but you can apply for other scholarship which are in nsp, the college stuffs helped their outmost.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I didn't opt for any internship during my college because of my daily schedule used to packed with so many things. But some companies offers internship in our college to interested students. Project mainly on finance and marketing basis
Placement Experience :
Placement criteria is very tough for any average students all because the students in our college are all rankers or topper. And the placement drive in college is modest. Companies like Deloitte technology, Tata consultancy services etc. visited our college for requirements. Only 5% students gets placements (strictly note "in my knowledge")
Campus Life :
There is one main fest i.e. QUEST which is conducted by the student union and the duration is almost 3days. There is another program known as SOCIAL which they organised in 6month basis in my knowledge. There is a big library in th campus and it provides all possible books related to commerce background or otherwise. Sports activities occurs duly basis and the students are provided to play in inter college tournaments. There is no hostel facility in college in my knowledge, but students are advised to check if there is any update about hostel facility

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
