Remarks :
This was one of the best government college in central Kolkata for commerce and is very affordable with the top class faculty teaching you , the admission is basically on merit and you really need to have a good score in your higher secondary to get through the admission. there are no group discussion or interview at the time of admission. I have scored 90 % above in my 12 the but had to wait till the last list to get my admission done.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen the course of bachelors of commerce with a specialization in accounting and finance because I had commerce as my subject in my higher level school and moreover the subjects interest me a lot, taxation,auditng, company accounting are some of my favourite areas, the faculty teaching is highly qualified and well learned, they teach you in the best way possible but the drawback I faced is that many a times classes are missed because of unavailability of faculty.
Internships Opportunities :
no I have not opted for any of the internships that came to my college because I had plans for further studies and needed to focus on that , the projects and tasks my friends got were data analyst or internee in finance industries
Placement Experience :
the eligibility criteria is fresh graduates as well as final year students a lot of offers are made but most of them are not worth the work around 40-50% students got placed in my year my plans after getting the degree was to prepare for further studies
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees for tuition is around INR 1000-1400 which is ranging between INR 500 to 700 per semester the admission fee is INR 80 or 85 and is a one time payment . moreover students have to pay the exam fee separately which costs around INR 1200-1500 per semester , it varies depending upon your subjects .
Campus Life :
there is not much cultural events taking place within the college but students can take part in the inter college competitions and invites from other colleges come often, however annual fest are held which is called QUEST and is a lot of fun. the drawback is you have to pay for it ! Annual sports day also takes place every year and exciting prizes are distributed Saraswati puja is the best cultural event held with uphelding and preserving the Bengali culture.
Hostel Facilities :
you do not get hostel facilities provided in the college but a lot of pg's and private hostels are present nearby with accommodation and food facilities but the food is not up to the mark, better to cook your own food and eat or search for the best mess nearby , you can get 1-2 on rigorous hunting.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
