I choose to study in this college because it is one of the best colleges for Engineering in India and also because of its affordability. For admission, students have to give WBJEE exam. The cut-off generally remains very high, because usually the first preference for students appearing is this exam is Jadavpur University.
I choose this course because I was genuinely interested in studying Electrical Engineering. Moreover, the faculty here is very experienced and their teaching proficiency is unmatched. The term exams are 2 semester exams per year while there is 2 Class tests per semester. Difficulty of such exams generally remains high.
Yes, I opted for Internships in my second year itself. There are also provision for research internships and industrial training. Students can choose according to their area of interest. Percentage of on-campus Internship is relatively low compared to high-end placements here.
Placements at Jadavpur University is fantastic one and about 95% students get placed from entire engineering faculty, with the top branches like CSE, IT, ECE, EE, IEE and ME get nearly 100% placement every year. Average package is above 10LPA and highest package is more than 1CPA. My plans after college is to opt for placements.
The total fees for studying here is Rs. 9600 for four years, including all kinds of fees. The fees for category students is also same, but the fees for TFW students is Rs.0. There is provision for applying scholarships like SVMCM or Siemens. In that case also, fees becomes free.
Life in campus is a vibrant one. There are cultural and technical fests throughout the year, the prominent ones being Sanskriti Annual fest (in March) and Srijan Techfest (in April). There is a central library in our University as well as departmental libraries. Students are encouraged for all tupes of Sports. Most of the clubs here are student-run like Photography club, Aerospace Club, Mechatronics Club, etc
I have not opted for hostel but as per information from my friends, food quality and amenities are awesome. There is a provision for economically weak students to apply for hostel and charges required is very nominal. I myself stay in a rented flat in Santoshpur locality, which is very near to University and it's a very affordable place.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
