good aspectlow & minimal fees strecture, low semester fees, high ROI, High placement ration, seniou-junior bond, student-teacher bond, etc Bad aspect infrastructure can be better, course curriculam can be updated, you have to qualify the WBJEE exam with GOOD rank near about 2000 in homestate then you can got into JU. you can follow the jee main preparation, from youtube chaneel like pw, you can easily crack the WBJEE exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
i choose because of hybridization of Eectrical & Mechanical . in my department, the academic pressure is slightly less rather than mother branch like electrical, mechanical,etc.i have huge time to explore other things. faculties are highly qualified, but many of them can not teaching well there have 2 class test in each subject which contribute 30% marks and remaining marks coming from final semester exam.. not so much difficult. if you starts to study 1 month before the exam you can easily pass with good cgpa like- 8.0
Internships Opportunities :
CESC, Accenture, google, siemens, Texas instrument, etc my internship drive is still ongoing. I have not selected in any internship still now. I am working in many project under my department faculty. they are also in the top 2% scientist list.
Placement Experience :
from 5th sem , you are eligible for internship. after 6th sem you are eligible for campus placement. CESC limited, Deloitte, Pwc, Accenture, amazon, Google, Polestar, TCS, Texas instrument, Paharpur ,etc. highest -45 LPA, AVERAGE- 9-10 LPA, 98% placement , remaining 2-3% choose higher study over placement. i have wish to grab the campus job. then my wish is to grab a job in financial sector.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
2450/- rs. tution fees-900/-, Lab & Workshop Fees- 1500, sessional charge- 50/-.there have no management category. all have to pay 2450/- per year. theare are many scholarship like-SVMCM( 60000/year), FREESHIP( it is give to the financial unstable student. in this scholarship university payback the fees of 2450 ,), JU alumni scholarship( range -300-35000), OASIS scholarship ( given to sc,st,obc candidates, its amount is variable),etc
Campus Life :
CIIPPUS( freshers event near about january), U-turn(freshers event near about dec-jan), SRIJAN(tech fest near about feb-march), SANSKRITI( March-APRil), in library books & journals are all time avialable & easily accessible.classroom are moderate , in future , classroom can be upgraded with AC. there has huge opportunity for sports , every year there starts trial period, there makes university sports team. there are many society , many club like- poetic society, coding club, mechatronics club, robotics club,E-cell,etc.
Hostel Facilities :
hostel food quality is good. we are provided 2 meals a day. one meal is provided in 9.30 morning which is consist of 1 piece fish or veg item along with unlimited rice, sabji,daal. and 1 meal in night 9.00 p.m., which is consist of 1 piece meat along with unlimited rice, daal, sabji. you have to seat in hostel interview, there are any criteria, you have to fill up the criteria to allot for hostel. in my hostel( jusl boys i have alloted single room. we have 24*7 hr wifi, r.o filter,etc. the monthly rent is 25. all over monthly mess fees is varying from 1500-1800 .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
