- Personally, I like the campus life of this college.
- And also the infrastructure are really good like classrooms, research building, etc.
Dislikes
- The one concern that I face is related to mess food.
- The Main academic building is partially air conditioned, not like the New academic building which is fully air conditioned.
Remarks :
First of all its ranking is good that is one of the reason why i preferred this college and also the infrastructure is satisfactory. The placement percentage is also very good. Many big and known companies visit in campus during the placement season.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculties are pretty good and every faculty holds a PhD degree in his/her domain. The classrooms are also good but the laboratory equipments are little old and outdated. Equal focus is given to both theory and practical knowledge. The syllabus is regularly updated to meet industrial demands. The semester exams happens twice every year after every semester followed by one mid-sem exam also in every semester.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't opted for any internship since I am a 2nd year student. The internship are meant for final and pre final year students. Almost 80% students participating in the internship drive have obtained internships. The companies that came for internship includes Microsoft, Apple, Reliance, etc.
Placement Experience :
The best part of this college is the placements. The highest package in 2024 offered was 70 lpa and the minimum package was 4.5 lpa with an average of 11 lpa. The companies that came for placements are Microsoft, Apple, Reliance , IOCL and many more.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So, total fees for a general student will be around 82000 per year and approximately 20000 will be paid to the mess every semester for food. But if you belong to any other categories then the tuition fees will be reduced accordingly, i.e. what we call as fee waiver. Like if you belong to SC, ST or PWD then the total yearly fees that you have to pay is approx. 20000 excluding the mess fees that you have to pay additionally. And for general, gen-EWS and OBC student the fee relaxation will be according to the annual income of your family.
Campus Life :
The campus is beautiful with lot of trees and maintained accordingly. Recstacy and Aarohan are the two main cultural and tech fests of the college respectively. Campus has its own library situated at the center of the campus and is large enough for the students to study, fully air conditioned with all books and other materials available. There are over 20 clubs in this college.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I have taken admission in this college, you need to accept the hostel. The hostel infrastructure is pretty good. each person is provided with a table, chair and an almirah. The mess food is not upto the mark and the mess is not hygenic and not having very good taste

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
