- I like the infrastructure of the college. In my college , there is well maintained and well equipped labs , classrooms and library. These are sufficient for students to become ready for future career and goals.
- I like the faculties because they are very friendly to students and always try to provide students a deep knowledge on subjects . They focus on conceptual and thinking abilities of students .
Dislikes
- Only one thing i dislike that facilities of Digital class is not well in my college.
- Sometimes Campus become crowdy and noisy. It causes disturbance to students. I dislike this.
Remarks :
Good aspect is that my college has well established infrastructures and bad aspect is that facilities of Digital class is not well. To take admission student must pass Class 12 board exam in science stream with 50% marks .For admission student must contact with admission authorities. I passed class 12 board exam in science stream with 78% marks so i got admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because this course has various scopes in future. There is various types of job options such as Industrial jobs,Research based jobs, Academic jobs and many others. and my college has good placement facilities for B.PHARM. Faculties are well qualified and teaching methods are well. They are very knowledgeable and friendly to students and always try their best to provide the students deep knowledge about the subjects.Faculties focus on conceptual and practical knowledge based teaching methods. There are 8 Semesters in my course , in each semester there are 2 midterm exam and Final End Sessional Exam. The exams are difficult but can be overcome by hard work and studies.
Internships Opportunities :
I am in 2nd year in B.PHARM. Internship will be started from 3rd year. Our seniors went for internship in various states.They went in pharmaceutical industries and the roles offered were such as 'Quality Assurance', 'Production Managing'
Placement Experience :
Students should keep their SGPA above 7 to be eligible for placement. Recruiters of many top and well known Pharmaceutical companies such as SUNPHARMA, CIPLA visited my college and offered jobs. Highest package was 12 Lakh/Year and average package was 4.8L/Year, offered profile such as Pharmacist, Industry Quality Assurance, Production Manager. 70% of the students getting placements . After getting the degree i will go in Industrial field such as Quality Assurance , Production department .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year -wise I paid 190000 rupees. Total fees (Tuition fees , caution fees, registration fees , development fees , lab fees )are 95000 per Semester. Admission fees are 35000 rupees. There is no difference in fees for categories . All categories have same fees. Only Government scholarships(Swami Vivekananda Scholarship)available for students who get 60% marks. Student Credit Card available.
Campus Life :
In March ' North East fest', in August 'Freshers Program', in October 'Agomoni fest' are conducted. Also there are many other fests conducted in different months. All the necessary books for our subjects are available in the library.Classrooms are clean and sufficient for comfort of students, Air Condition(AC) is in every classroom. Sports(Cricket,football) and other extracurricular activites such as Singing, dancing , Drama have a great value in our college.Every month sports competitions conducted and competitions of extracurricular activities also occur. There are more than 15 clubs in our college for different activites and to find out the talents of students. The clubs are Robotic Club, Singing Club, Dance Club, Sports Club and many others .
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality of Hostel is good and menu are Rice, Vegetables,Chicken Curry ,Egg Curry etc.Menu is different throughout the week. Registration process for hostel is done by contacting with Hostel authorities and it is simple.Hostel mes is clean and have good infrastructure and it is affordable. I rented a room in the location ' Barbaria Road, Barasat'.

Placement Experience :
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
