- The facilities in our college is good but less to the placement programs. We have different types of enjoyment in our college. One of the key highlights is the college's infrastructure, which is well-maintained and offers a comfortable environment for both learning and extracurricular activities. The classrooms are spacious, equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors and audio-visual systems, creating an engaging learning environment. The library is another commendable feature, stocked with a wide range of books, journals, and digital resources that support students' academic needs.
- The faculty is another strong point of the college. Many professors are knowledgeable in their respective fields and show genuine interest in the students’ academic growth. They encourage open discussions, clarify doubts, and provide valuable guidance on various academic and professional matters. The faculty's willingness to help students outside of class hours makes a significant difference in the overall learning experience. However, while most faculty members are dedicated, there are occasional inconsistencies in teaching methods, which could be improved.
Dislikes
- One of the biggest drawbacks of the college is the placement issue. Despite the college’s strong infrastructure and academic offerings, the lack of robust campus placement support is a significant concern. The placement drives are often poorly organized, with limited participation from high-quality companies. Many students find themselves struggling to secure roles that match their qualifications, and only a small percentage of top performers are successfully placed. The placement cell offers minimal support in terms of career counseling, internship opportunities, and preparation for interviews, leaving most students to navigate the job market on their own.
- the college has a large number of students, which further exacerbates the placement issue. The sheer volume of students in each batch makes competition for the few available positions more intense. With so many students vying for limited roles, it becomes difficult for many to stand out, and this can lead to frustration and discouragement.
Remarks :
Actually my neighbour brother is a student of this college. He encouraged me to get admission in it and the overall environment, academic and non academics are very good stunning. They provide 90% placement in their advertisement. Also there is one admission test is taken in that the scholar students are getting chance to read in this college. They take interview separately for students and guardians. It is helpful in communication and good interaction between us.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because from childhood I have interest in computer. I want to know more about its functionality and data is never ending things so I want to work with those datas . For that I choose my dream in data science field. Faculties are very helpful in our college. They interact with us and helps to learn new things. There are different levels of facilities we have, some are assistant professor, some associate professor and also program co ordinator and hod. In our college 2 class test is taken and one final sem exam is held. The semester exam is really very tough than CTS.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes they were providing one scholarship based on our 12th Mark's. From it many students are helped. It sometimes almost free or just affordable to us. The library fees is around 3000/-,, tuition fees is nearly 45000/- . Overall account section helps us and there are very much devices and facilities also like online banking or there is one atm machine also. They provide us the money receipt in time. Also in our college we have the facilities of west bengal student credit card,, by that also many poor but talented students are getting benefits.
Campus Life :
In our college they are organising different types of occasion like tech fest, annual function, singing competition, dancing competition, mehendi competition, coding competition, project works etc. this are encouraging students so much. Library facilities are also good. There are many books for different streams also the librarians are helpful. Our college has its cyber security club,fest club, singing club,play clubs etc. there are also event management team in which both teachers and students can participate.
Hostel Facilities :
I am living in a mess. Per month living fees is 2000/- and overall my father sent me 6000/- . The food quality in our college canteen is very poor, they take a high amount of money but not provides good quality food based on the quantity. Also our food court that is inside our college has raised their bill very much so it's very difficult to students. The locality of college is simply nice not very good as at night there gets gossips of bad boy's. But the nearest place is safe

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
