- The beautiful campus, the gender ratio is also decent, senior-junior bonding.
- No compulsory attendance, amazing fests, and the freedom to roam around the campus.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure isn't what a T1 engineering college should have. There are lots of improvements required.
- Some students do very anti-national events on campus and create chaos.
Remarks :
I chose the college because it is situated in my hometown, In addition, the institution has great brand value, a strong alumni base, and a beautiful campus. By the way, it should be known to the students that JU has 2 functional campuses, 1st in Jadavpur, 2nd in Salt Lake. The best college I was getting on my AIR was JU, so it was easy for me to choose it. To get admission into JU one has to clear WBJEE with a good rank (<3k).
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course curriculum is very orthodox as some of the faculties are. Students have to learn irrelevant subjects and in my opinion, there should be more practical usage. The faculty members are highly qualified but some professors need to be replaced, like you have to write the exact same thing on exams what is written on the notes given by him.
Internships Opportunities :
I got an internship opportunity but I couldn't go because our HOD didn't give permission. If you have a decent skill set in any field and have a good network getting an internship isn't hard. But if you want to crack MAANG internships you have to work really hard, but the good thing is there are very helpful seniors.
Placement Experience :
JU has an incredible placement cell. From top MNCs to new startups everyone visits during placement season. students really work hard to bring companies almost every student get placed. For circuital branches the average placement is 15LPA and for non-circuital branches the average placement is 8LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Jadavpur University has one of the lowest fee structures, despite being a T1 engineering college its fee per semester is 1250rs only. Only IT department costs much (around 50k per sem) because it is not funded by the government. As the fee is very low there is not any kind of fees reduction for SC/ST and others also university itself doesn't provide any kind of scholarships.
Campus Life :
The campus life is full of freedom, with no restrictions. the 4no. gate is open 24/7. JU has 3 main college fests: U-TURN, the freshers, SRIJAN, the technical fest, SANSKRITI, the cultural fest. During these times campus turned full of lights, and joy, and the ambiance felt like nothing could be more beautiful than this.
Hostel Facilities :
I didn't get a hostel but some of my friends are in the hostel so, I can give a review on it. First of all the infrastructure is not good as the food quality. But there is a badminton court, volleyball ground in the hostel there is also a gym and TT table in the hostel. Distance from home and family income are the things they see before giving a hostel.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
