Likes
- Wifi facility is good as speed is high, yes some websites are restricted but overall facility is good
- Not much restrictions on students as there is no in time or out time for 3rd and 4th year students
Dislikes
- Mess food is not up to the mark as sometimes it tastes so bad
- Hostel room are small and not enough for 3 students in each room
Remarks :
For admission you have to clear jee mains exam and after that jee advanced exam, but you can get NIT by jee mains score Score should be above 96 percentile if you are obc or general and 80 percentile above if you are sc st
Course Curriculum Overview :
Civil engineering a good course as you can apply for placement as well as govt jobs, teachers are bit helpful and some are not very supportive, faculties are fine and from good background but some prefers not to help students much
Internships Opportunities :
Yes in IIT GUWAHATI i got internship and my work was to do research on a project based on geo technology field for 3 months in summer There are enough on campus internship opportunities. Around 100 companies areives for internships
Placement Experience :
There is good placement percentage and almost every student gets placed. Every branch reaches at least of 70% placements but civil and biotechnology branch sometimes restricts to 50% placement only. If no placement you can opt for government jobs in civil engineering
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
If you are general, your sem fees will be around 80,000 per semester (as it increases every year for new students) and apart from this, 17,000 to 20,000 per semester is mess fees, there is no separate fees for hostels as it is already included in tution fees. If you are obc with income more than 5 lakhs, then the fee structure is same as general, but your income is less than 5 lakhs then your tution fees will be around 40,000 per sem and 17,000 to 20,000 per sem mess fees If your income is less than 1 lakh, then your tution fees will be 13,000 per sem and 17,000 to 20,000 mess fee per sem For SC and ST, your tution fees is fixed at 13,000 around per semester irrespective of annual income and mess fees of 17,000 to 20,000 per sem. There js loan facility available and also some type of government scholarship but clg provides only what i mentioned above
Campus Life :
There is a good social life as there are more than 20 clubs in this college and more than 4 fests per year . Infrastructure is good but not up to the mark in hostels as rooms are small and not suitable for more than 2 students but they allot 3 atude6per room even in final year Grounds are less and less maintained
Hostel Facilities :
It is mandatory to take hostel, there is no separate fees for them you just need to pay for mess fees which is around 17,000 per semester, food is not that good but satisfactory. Rooms are small but fine in terms of facilities. There js ground in each hostels for volleyball and badminton and table tennis

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
