- One thing to get disappointed is the shameful events that have occurred in past and presently in college which is demeaning the college brand.
- Salt Lake campus is not so lively campus as for Jadavpur campus
Remarks :
Best college in terms of return of investment Best academic one of the top institution in West Bengal. Rich lived history of this branded institution. Admission is only taken through rank of WBJEE State exam.Not by any other means like interviews and written tests.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course opens up three big industries for an EIE student. 3 domains are Electronics, Instrumentation and IT sector jobs. Immense job opportunities because of brand value of college. Faculties are highly qualified from top institutions and some are from top IITs. Semester exams occur within a gap of 5 to 6 months with a decent enough difficulty.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships came at the end of 2nd year and huge no. Of companies visit like Texas Instruments,PWC, Schrodinger, Wells Fargo with around 60000 to 120000 per month stipend for 2 months internship program.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria is not rightly followed here but no backlogs acts as one. A cgpa around 7 to 7.5 is nice one to apply for companies. A good amount of recruiters visit are Texas Instruments,Google, Accenture,PWC, Schrodinger,Wells Fargo etc. Average package in our department= 10 LPA Highest package= 35 LPA In our department around 95 to 100 % of students get placed. Firstly my plan is to get placed and if interested can apply for Masters in IITs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College fees per year=Rs 2625 Total College fees(in 4 years)=Rs 10500 There is possibility of fee waiver for economically weaker section of students upto 50 to 100%. Equal fees is required for every student irrespective of category, management quota. No admission is taken through management quota as it's a state government run institution. Admission is done through State exam WBJEE.
Campus Life :
Sanskriti (cultural fest) is conducted in the month of April(may change). Srijan (Technology fest) is conducted in the month of March (may change). Both libraries in Jadavpur campus and Salt Lake campus are rich in all kinds of books. Many of the classrooms have Smart boards and slides shows. Uturn (freshers event) has n number of different sports events where freshers could take part. There are many clubs like music,dance ,debate,etc to enrich our overall college experience.
Hostel Facilities :
Food quality is decent and homely food is served. Registration and hostel allotment is done by hostel interviews and on the basis of family income, home to college distance and other difficulties. I personally rented a room in nearby area named Chingrihata with ok ok locality

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
Mathematics at JU

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
