- I like infracture that is very great we have two academic building main academic and new academic and have 14 hostels, Laboratory for each department, one newly inaugurated Reaserch and Development building.
- Campus life is very great your can always spend time with new people socialising with you.
Dislikes
- Faculty I one main thing that I don't like.
- Second is sports, administration don't emphasis a lot on sports as they should even our student activity centre and gymnasium is outdated.
Remarks :
Factors that made me choose this college was course, placement statistics, campus life, network and nirf ranking. Your have to qualify JEE Mains examination then sit in JOSAA counseling to enter this college. There are no GD or PI.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose the course according to my rank in JEE Mains examination. Each and every faculty is well qualified from different IIT's and NIT's and have done PHD. Some teaches very great by giving actual examples while some only read pdf but you must understand in college you have to study yourself.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I have got internship under Accenture as Advanced Application Engineering intern and stipend in 50000 per month and it's for 2 months which will be starting in May 2024. I this I will know about the work culture in Accenture and then I have to do some project as mentioned by them
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria really depends on different companies as they set their bars but one is mostly same in all companies that there should be no active backlogs and final year students are eligible for placements from 7th semester. We have Career Development Center, they contact companies HR or companies contact them for placement. Some notable recruiters are Microsoft, Atlassian, Accenture, Wells Fargo, Samsung RnD, Reliance Industries, JSW, ZS Associates, Tata Metalics, Bajaj, TVS and many more.
Campus Life :
Campus life is must to experience. We have two main fest and some smaller fests. One is annual techno-management fest Aarohan and second in cultural fest Recstacy both happens in even semester time every year. There are many different clubs range from technical to management to cultural. Hostels are very great and mess is also nice, every Wednesday special dinner is served and once in a month ideal dinner is served.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
