- Though one gets a little scolded, any important works are done even after the deadline if possible.
- College fests are super fun and enjoyable.
Dislikes
- One must attend every class everyday otherwise might be severely reprimanded.
- I don't really enjoy crowd that much but sometimes I have to give speeches.
Remarks :
The factors that made me choose this college are as follows: 1. The approximate total fee was affordable to me. 2. The distance of my college was not that far from home. So commuting was convenient. 3. Many of my seniors have graduated from this college. 4. The faculty of the chemistry department was good. The admission process was easy. The selection is based on your marks in higher secondary and available vacancies. After applying and being selected, a date was given for verification. There was no further delay and that's it. There may be some bad aspects like the sanitary napkin vending machine doesn't have any sanitary napkins or sometimes internal exams overlap with some college fests. You may be scolded a little for missing out on the deadlines. Nevertheless, the staff always cooperate and solve our worries if possible.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are many reasons why I chose this course but here are some prominent ones: 1. Chemistry is a subject I love dearly. 2. As mentioned before, the faculty is really good. 3. I scored super good in chemistry for higher secondary. All the faculty members have at least one doctorate (except the lab assistant). Their teaching techniques are helpful, some of them even take extra classes online. The internal exams are very timely. If you are financially weak there is the half half-free and full-free facility for fee concession. One can get an SVMCM scholarship after getting the required percentage.
Campus Life :
There are three main fests in college. The Freshers and Saraswati Puja in January and Vasant Utsav in March. One can get the required books from either the central library or the departmental library of the college. An annual sports meet is arranged once a year( but there isn't anything other than cricket, runs, and some mind games). There is a science club named Scientia which arranges various science activities. You can find a paid canteen but there is no college hostel.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
