Likes
- I personally like the huge football ground and the badminton court.
- I also like the faculties present in the college who are always there to help.
Dislikes
- I dislike the fact that the college doesn't have a proper cricket ground uptill.now .
- College also is lagging behind in some of the labs overall..
Remarks :
I was pretty much satisfied with the ground and the faculty of the college after my first visit to the college. Their mode of interaction is unique and are concise about their opinions on any matter.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The academics and overall study in the college are great and so are the faculties present. They are highly qualified for the job. The fee structure is average and not so high when compared to other colleges.
Internships Opportunities :
No still now I have not opted for any internship so am unaware about that field but as far as heard from the seniors in the hostel the internship is quite average in the college. Nothing great as such but good for practice.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities at the college are great for those who study continuously and are good in their fields. Overall there is a nice percentage of placements of the total people present and a great chunk of selection.
Campus Life :
The social life at the campus and in the college is fun and so is the academics and the infrastructure of the college is great. I am in the hostel it is also sort of great and fun to live in. It is overall a new experience as I have never been to the hostel previously.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
