- Behaviour of the faculty and the accounts department faculty are quite helpful
- Presence of badminton academy and football grounds
Dislikes
- Lack of cricket ground in the college and
- Lack of certain subject labs which are quite necessary
Remarks :
I choose this collefe as i saw its football ground and a nice indior stadium comprising of the badminton academy and a shooting range present there Whereas the presence of efficient facultiees also motivated me.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The overall course curriculum and academic are quite great . The faculties and the even the memevers present in the account department are quite great . The scholarship are permitted and the fees is nominal compared to kther colleges. .
Internships Opportunities :
No haven’t opted for any of the internships but i an looking for one as i have heard that it is if great value and college provide great internships from great companies which boosts our chances in case of placement.
Placement Experience :
There are great placements opportunities in the campus as many companies come and pick deserving candidates who have tried whole year reading and generating sources to get in a company and earn a certain living.
Campus Life :
The campus life is quite great and the infrastructure of the college is quite great compromising of a college building a badminton academy and a football ground. There is a presence of great hostel and the warden and the hostel staff are quite great.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
