- Campus is pretty good and the events are fun.
- The faculties are very friendly and helps you throughout your samesters.
Dislikes
- Lack of faculties and the syllabus needs to be improved.
- The choice for elective subjects should be expanded.
Remarks :
The admission process includes a written test and an interview round. I chose the college because of the newer syllabus and project based studies. The teachers are very supportive and facilitate class discussions and constructive debate.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The fees depend on the courses which are generally on the higher side as it's a private college. There are some slack in the fees if the candidate scores more than 90 percent in their 12th class. The faculty of the Economics department are very good and helpful. The difficulty level of the entire course is pretty average and exams are on time.
Internships Opportunities :
I got an internship at ASSOCHAM. The internship was a research-based job. The experience was very good but most of the internships are unpaid. The college has tieups with many companies. But finding an internship on your own would be better.
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship are pretty good but that mainly depends on the courses. The flagship courses generally get better placement, internships etc. since the number of students in the class are pretty less, the chances of placement are not bad.
Campus Life :
I didn't opt for the hostel but the campus is very good. There are 3 canteens, and the food is pretty good, although a little expensive. There is a cafe coffee day outlet. The library is pretty good and has ready-to-use computers.

Placement Experience :
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
