- Infrastructure is not upto the mark you will get a 2 small building department for engineering.
- And job and internship opportunities through college is not that good.
Remarks :
Yeah, I cleared WBJEE examination with a good rank then after I faced a counselling session where I got this college, I choose this college for it's government tag and nominal fee for this course as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is almost same as all thr the B. tech colleges teaching nowdays, faculties are well qualified and experienced but teaching style is somewhat unsual sometimes that make student not to understand the subjects. There are alot of scholarship opportunities for WB student and easter indian student from state govt and for others we have central govt scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet but at the end of next semester I will definitely get some internship opportunities it maybe through some Refferal Or offcampus kind of thing because internship scenario here is not that good.
Placement Experience :
Placement scenario is not that good last year student Or final year student can participate in placement through campus drive since on campus placement is only 20-30% but students are doing great in offcampus Or GATE examination, highest placement was 12LPA a senior got in mediadotnet through on campus avg placement is 4.5 lpa. I will go for on as well off campus.
Campus Life :
480 acre of green campus since it's a govt autonomous college so campus life is good here and social life is somehow manageable. For Btech student clubs and sports facility are there but clubs are managed by student themselves and sports facility is under physical education department.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
