Remarks :
This is the most recommended and renoun college for commerce, this college stand at no-1 in West Bengal. The ambiance and the reputation made me choose this college. Nah , i didn't face any group discussion. No interview and test is conducted for addmission purpose. The cut of is too high starts from 98% to 90 % . You just have to score a very good marks in class 12th board exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course to gain a greater knowledge about accounting. The facilities and the teaching methods are continuing the way it's run on a typical college. Old curriculum. The term exam is happening in 2 Times in a year , the duration is 6 months. Yes , the level of exam is hard . The college tution fees is very cheap because of its a government college, but the private tution are little High. Yes if you're from West Bengal you will get svmc scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
No , i didn't get any Intership till now, but I they'll organise a summer internship. This will be a free unpaid internship to gain knowledge and work experience about in field jobs . We will also get certificate for that .
Placement Experience :
I think intership may offer from college, but now the direct placement are stopped. I didn't see any recruiters in my 1 years . My plans after getting pass out from the enroll for professional courses.
Campus Life :
A single fest is conducted in the month of December. And invite others college on event organised by our college. This is a great thing I experience ing. Yes, all books regarding course are available in library . No sports and extracurricular activities available on campus. We run a union in college. Yes some pg , falt are available near the college and the cost of living around 7000 per month .

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
