- I lke most about this college is its placement. In the time of recession my college is giving a placement percentage of 70%.
- Infrastructure of college is very good. College has a good library almost every book of engineering can be found here..
Dislikes
- College hostel is dislike most by me. There are many restrictions like go outside between 5 to 7 P.M.
- Faculty also sucks for non bengali students as they prefer to speak in bengali language..
Remarks :
I have taken CSE in this college. I have cleared the exam wbjee. Three rounds of counseling are done after wbjee results. You can prepare for this exam in the same way as Jee. My rank was 10,499 which is good for the CSE branch. The cutoff rank for CSE goes around 15k. I have selected this college mainly from a placement point of view. Also, the campus size is large as compared to other colleges in West Bengal. At that time the placement was around 150%. I have heard from seniors but due to the recession current pass-out students have placed only 70% out of eligible students(min. 7.5 cgpa and greater than 60% in boards). Hoping this year's placement scenario will be good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen the CSE branch because of the high demand in the job market. The faculties of this college are very educated some are from very good universities and also very supportive, but the college is in west Bengal outsiders may feel difficulty in understanding concepts as professors speak Bengali almost 40%. Exams levels are moderate, Final exams are conducted by Makaut University which this college comes from. Makaut is very sensitive towards examination time.
Internships Opportunities :
No, Till now I do not opt for any internship. I am going in 4th year this sem. But placement season has started and I am very positive I will get an internship. However, the college has given a final-year project that students may be familiar with.
Placement Experience :
Placement in this college is very good but due to the recession this year placement percentage has gone down(almost 70%). Many mass recruiters companies like TCS, Wipro, cognizant, persistent, Trianz, Infosys, etc. Startup companies also come here. Students are mostly recruited by Wipro and Infosys. The highest package in college given by tcs digital is around 9 LPA while the average will be around 4 LPA.
Campus Life :
Life at this college is very enjoyable. I was in a hostel for 1 year. The food sucks, but you will enjoy hostel life here.. Two boys in a room are allowed for a boy's hostel while 3 girls in a room are allowed in a girls' hostel. I had applied for a hostel for which they will take security money and advance 6 months charges. I have been here for 3 years but only this year's games meet is conducted in which football, volleyball, and basketball are conducted at the college level.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
