Being a Muslim it was one of the obvious choices for me to get into Aliah University as the environment is Islamic friendly. But that doesn't mean there is any discrimination for religion. Everyone is treated equally. Now coming to the good aspects of the institute first of all I would like to talk about the faculty of my department. They are a highly qualified and dedicated bunch of professors who work tirelessly for the betterment of the students. That was one of the main reasons I was admitted to this institute. For anyone wanting to get admission here, they have to take the written test known as the Aliah University Aptitude Test or in short AUAT which is held once a year in May to July.
Keeping the UGC guideline in mind the curriculum has been formulated by thoroughly analysing what aspects are necessary for the future of the students and would help them find better jobs after their respective degrees. Most faculty members are either assistant professors or professors who have done PhDs and postdocs from reputed institutes and have a vast knowledge of the subjects.
The faculty members of the placement cell do an amazing job of attracting recruiters from various reputed national and multinational companies to hire students after the completion of their respective courses. Especially the engineering departments need a special mention as most of them are placed in various companies in India as well as in foreign with a decent package.
Campus life in the institute is a peaceful one. Harmony among of the students is maintained and there are hardly any cases of ragging or bullying by the seniors. Everyone respects each other and especially the girls will feel safe here. All kinds of facilities are available here like hostels with more than enough accommodation for both girls and boys, canteen facilities where all kinds of food are available at an affordable price and most importantly a dedicated building for the library where a huge collection of books are present for the students and the teachers to access. Various sports events are held throughout the year.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
