Placement is usually availed by master's students here, but undergraduate final years also sit for placements. The placements is oriented such that most of the recruiters are NGO's. It does not call private companies for recruitment as it does not align with the motto of the college to serve social good. The recruters are foundations and NGO's like Antara foundation, Azim Premji Foundation, Peepul, Reliance Foundation etc. The average package is 70,000/- per month. About 95% students who sit for placements get placed. I do not plan on sitting for placements, I plan to pursue master's.
The university has excellent faculty. The infrastructure is also quite good. The admission process is via an entrance followed by interview. The written test checks your logical, verbal reasoning and general capacity to articulate. The interview will have subject specific questions and will test your personality. Having volunteering or social help experience will give a better chance of admission, since the college has such a vision.
Read Full ReviewBA- Economics, is the flagship course of this university and the faculty is one of the best that I've ever seen in Indian universities. It's filled with celebrated economists whose works I've been following since before , so an opportunity to learn from them I was never letting it go. The teaching methods are also great , they follow more of a western approach to teaching as they give a lot of project work , field work and regular assignments that works your brain rather than rote learning. The curriculum for this course is also very immersive and the book tha we use is written by one of our celebrated professors featuring other noble ecomnomiAlso it's an interdisciplinary university so students have a lot of freedom in choosing their subject combinations. The exam system is actually diffrent for different courses. For Economics you have regular online quizes (that is a part of your total grade) and have in class tests every 2 weeks. And you have 2 term exams ( mid term and end term) .
The requirements to get admission is just having a class 12th passing certificate from a recognised education board. However, they've now started accepting CUET, SAT and JEE scores as well. The cutoff scores for these exams keep changing however. However, most of the people opt for admission through the normal route i.e giving the Azim premji university aptitude test. The first stage of the admission process is filling the application form. After this everyone is eligible to sit for a test ( Computer based test) that will the further decide whether you are eligible to sit for an interview. After the exam is done , you'll receive an interview invite by the university after a month or so. The interview takes place both in person and online and is usually taken by a professor who's teaching the course you want to major in. On an average the interview goes on for a hour not more than that. After that you just have to wait for either an offer letter or a rejection letter.
Read Full ReviewThe university mainly focuses on NGOs and in development sector rather than in corporate sectors. My plan is to work in Ngo who works on the field of social sector which will help me to understand how the society works, and my second plan is to prepare myself for civil service (UPSC).
one day I was searching of private universities, which provides scholarship, and I came to know about this university, and then I searched more about it on internet, and the most interesting thing that catches my attention was the course curriculum, it was design in such a way that you can opt any field no matter what is your stream in 12th standard. additionally, especially in the field of social science and economics for me. Admission procedure was mainly divided into two phases. first was written test which include descriptive writing, analytical writing, essay writing and some question regarding your major that you are opting for. And second phase was interview, where they mainly ask why you choose this university, how you will contribute yourself in this university, why you choose your major, what is your future plans and what you will do after graduation.

College infrastructure looks good and both natural and social environment is friendly. I applied for financial assistance so I had to go through an entrance exam, after that an interview and then if selected you have submit few documents such as 12th standard result which should be above 50%. Family annual income certificate(Based on which you will be offered a scholarship). When they sent you an offer you have to pay an Offer acceptance fees.
Read Full ReviewPlacement and internships are not very prevalent at APU. however, some of the highest paying jobs offered after graduation belongs to Economics Hons here. While my plan is not explicitly to go after the placement offered by this college but to look at other available options.
I gave an entrance exam during the month of December followed by an online interview. The test was pretty easy with basic maths and English of class up to 10, and th interview was just about myself as an individual.
Read Full ReviewThis university takes placements very seriously, hence the process begins like almost 1 year prior to the graduation. Their record for placements is high like 95% plus students sitting for placements get a job. They focus on the social sector mainly and hence many social organizations choose to hire from here. I do not have any data for the highest package offered, but I know that some postgraduates get 7-8 lpa. While the average package ranges from 4.8 to 6 lpa. I have friends earning 5-7lpa, though most of the undergraduates prefer to go for higher studies. I plan to go deeply into music, art and intimacy therapy. And I found my passion for these fields while studying here since the place allows for a very wide range of experiences. A lot of my fellow-mates who graduated from here are currently studying in IV league colleges like Cambridge, etc.
My experience here has been awesome. The admission process is simple: they offer two opportunities per year to fill the form, during fall and during summer. You have to give an exam or CUET results also work. The cut off is not like solid, it depends on the interview post the first selection from the exam scores. They usually take like 2-3 percent students from among the total forms that get filled up but the percent keeps decreasing as this university is getting popular. I did not prepare for the exam but I was good at the fundamentals and I found that they look for honesty and curiosity in the interview process. The only bad thing I found about this university is that I do not like their sustainable approach to every event. For example their decorations for any event is mostly sustainable and that limits the kind of decorations possible. They also do not allow sponsorships for college festival so it is not super grand like IIT's.
Read Full ReviewAs a first-semester student as of now, I don’t have much depth of knowledge in placements and internships. As far as I heard campus provides 100 percent placements. All the placements will be in India itself.
Entrance test and interview I worked hard for both rounds. I started my preparation in my 5th semester. There should be well awareness of general knowledge, syllogisms and quantitative aptitude. For the interview round interviewer analyses is he/she capable of managing an academic course in Azim Premji.

Yeah after a written test. I have an interview then only I got a selection. I joined this university because of the highly qualified teachers and the course design and the diverse and interactive classroom
Read Full ReviewHere you can placed in different kind of NGOs after the completion of the course which you are pursuing according to your skills and knowledge you can get placed. The recruiters are Azim Premji Foundation, Reliance Foundation, Pradhan and many more
After the enrollment of the form I was given an entrance test once I qualified the exam I was promoted to personal interview where the professor ask you about your personality and why do you want to study in this university and many more questions about societal problem. The factor made me to choose this university is that the way of teaching is very conventional rather traditional where the students are evaluated on daily basis by giving different kind of assignments and group project which they have to present.
