The course I am studing is B.com LL.B. (Hons.). Though being a Science student I always wanted to study commerce. The Commerce professors here at TNNLU are very knowledgeable and they are genuinely interested in making sure you learn the intricacies. The curriculum is not too hectic, and you will get sufficient time to participate in extra curricular activities like Moot Court Competitions, ADR Competitions, and Conferences. The faculty here are qualified who has done there Masterns from Top notch NLUs like NLSIU, NALSAR, and NUJS. The difficulty level of exam is moderate. If you study everyday even for an hour, you will be able to excel and get really good scores in exam.

The curriculum of this course is specifically tailored to provide the students with enough knowledge in a short period. The academic year is divided into 2 semesters, four and a half months per semester, and a month of vacation in between each semester for us to do mandatory internships. The faculties people as individuals and merely facilitate the process of learning, there is strictly no spoonfeeding. They do their job of exposing you to the specific branch of study and provide extensive materials for us to read from to learn. On that note, one thing that is worth mentioning is that almost every faculty is an LLM graduate, and most have a PhD too. Per semester, we have two exams, mid-semester - 20 marks, and end semester - 30 marks, preparation involves extensive study. The rest of the marks will be calculated through research projects. The Course Curriculum is designed in such a way as to help you become the best in the field, there is a lot of emphasis given to procedural laws and the best faculties teach us the procedural laws. Other than that the marking criteria are one of the best in the country(you cannot fail in the marking criteria they use). There is a Financial assistance scheme offered both by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the welfare schemes of the Central Government. The exams aren't too difficult and if you know how to apply the law you can easily top the exams.
