What I Liked

Clubs are good here. You will see good coding culture as well as started culture is quite interesting.
Fests arranged here are quite good. You will have a great experience during the spring Fiesta.

What I didn’t like

Campus Life is under satisfactory. Sports facilities are not good .
Some faculties are not having good style of teaching

Internships Opportunities:

No, I have not yet taken any internship opportunities here. Although some students in the 2nd and 3rd year are indulged in internships and cracked good internships from off-campus in PayPal etc. Summer internship recommended by the college and lots of emails we will receive related to this

What I Liked

Very supportive environment in our college
A number of events are organised in the college.
Sports facilities like Volleyball court, Kabaddi Mat are available

What I didn’t like

College campus is very small and lack of proper infrastructure
Campus feels like to be outside of city in a village.

Placement Experience:

A student must maintain 4 CGPA for eligible for placement and 8 CGPA for the top recruiters. The Training and Placement cell support departments to provide an internship for students in industries for 8 weeks at the end of 6th Semester and for 20 weeks during the 8th Semester as a part of academic. Top recruiters are Microsoft,Walmart etc.

What I Liked

I like our faculties and their way of teaching in our college .Our Director Prof Rajeev shorey is also also dedicated and passionate about their work .I like that
Also the coding culture here is too good..and curriculum is more focused on practical learning

What I didn’t like

To be honest Our campus is not so big thus we think that this is the area of improvement for our college

Placement Experience:

The students who have got their degree through iiit surat are eligible for interviews. Companies like Google , Microsoft ,Oracle ,Hcl ,Uber ,etc have visited our campus and have recruited many students... this year 3 students got internship offer from Microsoft. Oracle took 6 students with them by offering package of 20+ lakhs. approx 70 % students get placements.

IIIT SURAT honest review.

What I Liked

Our college have very good and cooperative faculties. The campus is also fair irrespective of the hostel.
Placement is very good in this college and it provide internship opportunities.

What I didn’t like

College does not have any permanent hostel. It is located very far from college.
Infrastructure is not very good. Canteen food is very bad.

Placement Experience:

Currently, placements are very good in this college. Several companies such as oracle, angel one , microsoft ,mathworks, and google recruiting many students. The average package of this college is 120000.The highest package is 6400000.

Internships Opportunities:

Currently, I am not opted for any internship program. But, many senior students have got internship opportunities through college. Three girls from E.C.E branch studying in third year have got internship in microsoft.

Review of my college

What I Liked

city is an advantage here , Faculties are good they teach very good .
no campus life therefore only choice we have is to study or play .

What I didn’t like

even it is in surat city its very outside of the city like its cutoff , very less area of collage .
classrooms don't have better roof . only ten to twelve rooms which include liabrary , labs , classrooms .

Placement Experience:

Now placements have increased before our placement percentage was around 60-70 percentage . companies that frequenty visit our collages are microsoft , opera , mathworks , infosys , uber , oracle etc. highest package was 64 lakhs per annum by uber.

Internships Opportunities:

no because currently i'm in my 1st year .yes we have internship opportunities if we work better .Recently four girls from third year are doing internship in microsoft of one lakh per month .companies that provide internships are microsoft , opera, mathworks etc.

BEST COLLEGE WITH AVERAGE PLACEMENT

What I Liked

college faculty is very good and helping in nature.
campus life is average with no permanent campus.

What I didn’t like

it is operating in temporary campus and is having only basic facilities .
no sports facilities only table tennis and few more indoor games are available

Placement Experience:

our college is having good placement statistics with highest package of 64 lakhs and average around 14 lakhs . there is special T&P cell which handles the whole process . recently we have also received 4 internships from Microsoft.

Internships Opportunities:

good internships offers are there . college helps students to find internships and also by calling companies . we have many internships offers from various mnc 's including microsoft , google etc with good stipend.

One of the best review about iiit surat

What I Liked

The college has best curriculum as it doesn't have unwanted subjects like chemistry and engineering graphics
The fun we make in hostels is in different level

What I didn’t like

Our campus doesn't have it's own hostel even after 3 yrs of getting out from svnit
Daily we waste 1 hr 30 min in Travelling from college to hostel

Placement Experience:

I am currently in first year and as of i heard it is good If you're having cgpa greater 8.5 you're eligible for every company placement. Oracle big basket are some visitors. Highest is 64 lpa and average is 14 lakhs 80% students who are sitting in placements are getting selected.

Internships Opportunities:

I am currently in first year so I haven't opted for any internship yet but as of i know three seniors have placed in summer intership offered by microsoft worth of 1.25 lakh stifend per month, and the three seniors belongs to ece rather than cse.

Most affordable IIIT but.....

What I Liked

The faculties are very friendly and good, they would support us, but due to lack of availability of funds they can't help us everytime. Also there is no issue of assignments and all, you get a whole week to submit it, but have to be carefull about your originality report.
College is overall good and a decent choice if you have rank in this category, also there can be lot of improvement done because the director has been changed, the new director is very student friendly and wants the students to grow and is constantly trying to uplift the college.

What I didn’t like

There is no infrastructure, we live under a shed in this college, there is no social life. Also the students over there have no interest in studies, all they want is to hang out with opporite gender or bunk the classes for no reason, and always cuss the punctual students for attending the classes.
College administration is not good, they stop anyone's application to do something new, they would talk about budget all day, but would allocate budget only to cultural clubs not the technical ones, because they have to send cultural activities report to MHRD, so there is lack of a good administration, who can look after each club and students.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for placement differs year to year but generally, if you don't have any back in any subject you're eligible for sitting in the placement sessions. Also the recruiters these year are Oracle who offered 19 LPA max, STPL who offered 6 LPA max, Whiteklay 14LPA max, Sutra Management 14LPA max, and Trilogy but no one got the offer. Till now 40% placement has been done, also the average is 7-8 LPA till now. The percentage who gets placement is declining from 96% in 2022 to 50% in 2024. I will sit for placement, and would try for offcampus, I don't have any expectations from the college, and k don't want to waste my talent, I am among the toppers of my class and so would like to go on my own way, depending on college would be a bad decision for me.

Internships Opportunities:

I was not able to find one, no support from college. Most of the second yearites don't get opportunities due to lack of good TnP officer in the campus, also the TnP coordinators are inactive, there lack of a culture of placement prep and coding in the college.

Honest College Review of IIIT Surat Ever

What I Liked

What I like best about college are our excellent and experienced faculty, because their connections and networks help students.
College clubs work very well for campus cultural development, and all clubs have good networks.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is not so good; only essential things are available. In the name of the campus, there are only six classrooms and six labs.
The college does not provide a hostel because it was contract-based, so transportation and facilities are not very good.

Placement Experience:

To be eligible for placement, you need a minimum of 70% in college. Placements have been average for the last 2-3 years. Major offers came from Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon, Jio, Paytm, Goldman Sachs, Infosys, etc. On average, 90% of students who are eligible for placement are placed every year. I am also thinking of taking placement. You can check out the college website for placement information in detail.

Internships Opportunities:

No, I did not get any internships through college, but some students are working at Placwit or other local companies for their internships. All students have to take an internship or complete a project in their last semester.

Placement Experience:

IT SURAT have its own training and placement cell, So our college provides placement after 3rd year of course but you have to be skilled enough to grab the offer. The highest is 45 lakhs and the average is 9 lakhs. There is around 60 per cent placement occur in the ECE branch
