Ques. Does Indraprastha College provide any financial assistance to the students?

Ans. Students belonging to the economically weaker sections are eligible for fee concession. Merit cum means-based scholarships are also awarded by the college to deserving students.

There is a Book Bank facility in the library from where needy students can borrow textbooks for the whole academic year.

Some special scholarships are also provided by Delhi University for students belonging to SC/ ST/ BPL/ PWD categories.

The College will put up notices on the Student Notice Board and the College Website inviting applications for financial assistance.

FAQs

Ques. What is the refund policy of Indraprastha College in PG courses if any student wants to withdraw from college?

Ans. A candidate who has been admitted to a Program but wishes to withdraw from it can do so through his/her dashboard by selecting the 'Withdraw' option and paying a withdrawal fee of Rs.1000.00 (nonrefundable). A candidate who withdraws his/her admission will forfeit his/her eligibility for admission to the PG Programs of UoD. No further participation in any of the subsequent regular allocation rounds, if any, will be allowed. The Withdrawal option will be suspended on the announcement of the Spot Admission round/s.

Ques. How can candidates who missed the initial application deadline for PG courses admission 2024 still participate in the program, and what is the process for doing so?

Ans. Candidates who failed to apply for PG courses admission 2024 within the stipulated time and are desirous of participating in CSAS(PG)-2024 can participate through the Mid-Entry window (whenever the University announces it), by paying a Mid-Entry fee of Rs. 1000.00 (non-refundable). A candidate who applies to CSAS(PG)-2024 mid-way will not hold any right to claim the seats allocated to candidates who had applied to CSAS(PG)-2024 during the initial Application Phase. Allocation of seats to such candidates may be considered for subsequent rounds (if any), subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria, availability of seats, and other CSAS(PG)-2024 rules. Once the seat has been allocated to the candidate who has applied to CSAS(PG)-2024 mid-way, it will be mandatory for him/her to be admitted to the allocated seat. Failure to accept the allocated seat will forfeit the candidate's right to seek admission to UoD. The seat allocated in a particular allocation round will be final and will not be upgraded in any subsequent allocation round.

Ques. What criteria are considered for seat allocation during Spot Admission rounds for PG courses, and what are the implications for candidates who fail to accept the allocated seat?

Ans After the completion of regular CSAS(PG)-2024 rounds, if seats remain vacant, UoD may announce Spot round/s of admission. Candidates who applied for CSAS(PG)-2024 but were not admitted to any Department/ Centre/ College on the date of declaration of the Spot Admission round can participate in Spot Admissions. Before the announcement of Spot Round, all admitted candidates will get an opportunity to opt for an upgrade. The vacancy of seats for Spot Round will be declared after the upgrade of admitted candidates. On the announcement of Spot Admission, the dashboard of all admitted candidates will be kept in freeze mode and they will neither be considered for upgrades nor be allowed to withdraw their admissions. To be considered in a Spot Admission round, the candidate will have to opt for 'Spot Admission' through his/her dashboard.

For every Spot Admission round the University will display the vacant seats of each Program. A desirous candidate will be able to select ONLY ONE Program. In Spot Admissions, allocations will be done based on the following criteria:

Availability of seats.
Program-Specific merit.
Order of Preference of Department/ Centre/ Colleges.
Category.
Any other allocation rules, policies, or criteria as mentioned in this document (CSAS(PG)-2024), PG BOI – 2024, or published on the admission website of UoD.

Ques. Is there any Orphans Quota in IP College for women in PG courses?

Ans. The University of Delhi will be admitting two candidates (one male and one female) in each program of study, both at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. These two seats will be supernumerary. The Council of the University further resolved that the expenditure incurred for admission and continuance of study of such students in the University or its Colleges shall be met from the University Welfare Fund or College Students’ Welfare Fund, as the case may be, for admissions in the University or the College. A candidate who wishes to seek admission under the orphan's quota will have to upload a certificate from a Govt. recognized Orphanage/Charitable Home or Death certificate of both the parents.

As per University Notification No. Acad.I/Orphan Quota/2024-25/10 dated 16th January, 2024 - 1. Candidates seeking admission with effect from the Academic Session 2024-25 onwards under the Orphan Quota shall pay the following fees:-

For PG admissions, visit the CUET PG official website – https://pgcuet.samarth.ac.in/.
Open the CUET website and click on the ‘Register’ link.
Candidates should read the instructions and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
Candidates are then required to fill in both academic and personal information.

Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Admission Process 2024

Indraprastha College for Women Follows CSAS for further admission in UG programs. A step-wise process to fill out the application form is given below:

Fill out the CSAS application form in the first phase.
In the second phase, choose the course and Indraprastha College for Women as the college.
The third phase involves allocating seats in different rounds, and final admission is based on a merit list.

What I Liked

i like that our college is surrounded by nature ..there loads of trees and cats

the wifi is bad ..theres no air conditioning
the societies are dead ..very few are active

there was just the cuet written examination..then we were in cutoff competition..my category had min 513 cut off in obc for eco hons ..i prepared from youtube and ncert ..and practiced as much mcqs as i could

Untold Story of ipcw

What I Liked

Ip has great infrastructure it's a 100 year college still it's pretty aesthetic it's has gym and sports auditorium with a pool and huge sports ground and spacious classroom one audition and few lecture rooms.

What I didn’t like

I don't like my faculty that much few teachers are very strict and the attendance issue is too much you have to maintain your 67 percent attendance
the locality is very quiet you got rarely any campus life experience

Remarks:

I took written test or entrance i choose this college because it has nice and good infrastructure with good crowd and nice faculty. You have to take cuet exam for the admission and need to score very good score the last year cutoff was 734/800

Life at Indraprastha College for women, DU

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure as the campus is very beautiful with peacocks and cats being the most frequent visitors. You may also find migrating birds in the campus during the season.
I like the student run society of the college as it is very active and encouraging to promote the college in various competitions and fests.

What I didn’t like

The low exposure to the outside worlds. No male participants are allowed even during competitions.
The timetable of the college is very unstructured with lots of breaks between the classes of like 2-3 hours.

Remarks:

You have to clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to get admission into Delhi University. To get admission in North campuses one needs to score above 740 atleast out of total of 800 in the test. The students can select the subjects according to their subjects in 12th grade and a list of available courses for the subjects will be provided on the website through which students can select the courses they prefer. The college is offered based on the preference list they create and the marks they score. Therefore preference list is a crucial list to get your desired college. The cut-off of my college was 750/800. After the confirmation the student can opt for freeze or upgrade. Freeze will conclude that you confirm your admission with the college you are provided. My college in Indraprastha College for Women which is under north campus of Delhi University. The only aspect it lacks is the exposure is less than that of a Co-ed college.

College review of IPCW, DU

What I Liked

College has a calm and pleasant environment with cleanliness and greenery. Animals like cats, dogsand peacocks are seen in the campus area.
Cafeteria and outlets of Amul and Nescafe provide good food and drinks. Library is huge. Sports ground is huge. Amphitheatre is huge.

What I didn’t like

College socities are inactive and the ones active are only music, dance and drama.
College is only girls and restricts participation of boys in the college even in competitions and fests.

Remarks:

The college is near the North campus with beautiful infrastructure and campus area. Easy accessibilty to metro and local buses. Good teaching faculty. Hostel provided. Inactive societies and less extracurricular activities. Academics oriented college. Admission through CUET exam based on Class 12. My Score 752/800.

a great experience

What I Liked

The infrastructure is phenomenal and is very peaceful for students to destress in between classes.
the societies conduct activities often that helps students interact with each other more.

What I didn’t like

the faculty is quite biased towards honors students so that inculcates a sense of complex among students.
the classrooms are not large enough to accommodate large number of students and thus makes it uncomfortable in summers.

Remarks:

The college has one of the best infrastructures among the other north campus colleges. The admission process includes giving the CUET examination and then based on the achieved score the college and course is allotted. There is no personal interview or group discussion. the cut off for my course is around 550 to 650 but anything around can get you a decent college.

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the college is the best amongst of the colleges in delhi University
Though the campus life is not that great but there is very less toxic behaviour by peers. The colleges offers a very supportive environment.

What I didn’t like

The clubs are very inactive. The college somewhere lacks behind in terms of extra curriculars.

I always wanted a female college with peaceful environment. My college is part of Delhi University. Yes, i had to appear for CUET exam conducted in 2024 and be regular with the other subsequent processes to be a part of my college. My college is also very academic Oriented, so it was a plus point

What I Liked

New canteens of college which provides various type of food items
Infrastructure and greenery of college is also most loveable part of the college

What I didn’t like

The college campus is too much isolated as it is in civil lines because of that students miss out the life of North campus sometimes especially if they are hostellers
The college is more academic oriented which sometimes become a barrier in extracurriculars.

Remarks:

According to my CUET score IPCW was alloted to me and I didn't upgrade because I wanted a girls college . The admission process was through CUET and for the course b.com(hon) cut off was 650/800 , there were many rounds in the selection process which includes the csas portal details, making preference list etc. I prepared for these rounds online through YouTube.

What I Liked

so I would say that the infrastructure of my college is really good like at 10/ 10 since pass 6 months we are having three canteens no honestly past year pass your having only one canteen where everything is available but now we are having two More outlets one of a mole and Nescafe which is of course you know this add on to the infra college and we have one academic block which have use classes still let me tell you when you into the college and the mean building have really small classes the reason could be because it's 100 your old college to go to college education at such a high level so which is reasonable to more buildings apart from the main building then the ground is really bag I am telling you my college in the press is basically one of the top colleges with lot of space. h include the gym and a really good library I say with very minimum amount we are having a basketball court apart from that we also have swimming pool which is only in two du colleges of North campus

What I didn’t like

talking about things that I do not like is basically you know the college lifestyle is a bit boring and colleges a lot more academic centric here in my college I see that other college is invite actor stars and more influential people so my college part they are academic centre right so they call like the invite people from academy itself which I feel like could be expanded when extend where you know you influencers are more impactful hence of they are called it would you know would be more beneficial for our college. one more thing is that our swimming pool is under maintenance ever since lock down that only thing I hate.

Remarks:

So let's break it down. *DU comes under CUET and so does my college. *you need to prepare rigorously for 3 months atleast to get a decent score if you are general or OBC in category. *cut-offs are definitely high for courses like economic hons, pol science hons, bcom hons and history and English hons like these are in demand courses. then you are shortlisted on the basis of your score. Basically in DU there are three rounds and three spot rounds. atleast a week gap in each round. spot rounds are for ones who didn't get any college in the first three rounds and also for the people who have added extra curriculum and after their offline performance they are shortlisted and they get college in spot rounds which are usually late but even in spot rounds people get really good colleges.

IP COLLEGE? ALL ABOUT IT!

Remarks:

The CUET exams were given by me. I scored an overall score of 740/800 and the college was placed in No.11 of my preference sheet. This was the college allotted to me in my first round of applications. I upgraded it but there were no more vacancies. However, from the many reviews we came to know that the cutoff for general category ranged between 740 to 750. The CUET syllabus was totally similar to the CBSE boards syllabus. The preparation shall be based on MCQs and it is computer based. The time is 1 hour per subject. The preparation criteria involved thorough NCERT books revision and MCQ practice. A thorough 2 month preparation was more than enough after boards. For B.com(hons), the major subjects are Accounts, Economics and Business Studies. English or any other language is compulsory. So basically, total of the marks of 4 subjects works.
