I am staying in an apartment with my batchmates in Viman Nagar locality. I did stay in the hostel for a brief period in my first year. Tulip hostel is well maintained with good infrastructure and safety. I had issues adjusting with the hostel food which is why I moved out to an apartment.
In terms of campus life, SLSP really stands out with its fest SYMBHAV which is the one of the biggest cultural fests in Pune. It usually happens in March- April and have been attended by celebrities like Karan Johar, Mohit Chauhan, Shaan etc. Viman Nagar is the heart of Pune so the location is very college centric and filled with students making it quite safe. Sports is given a lot of importance by the University and is funded by them. All mooting activities as well as debates are reimbursed by the college. SLSP also has a rich MUN culture. Even though the campus is not the most physically extravagant, its extra curricular activities and social life surely is. The Student Advisory Board is the body of the student community in the college which comprises of different cells that students can partake in for eg human rights, music, dance, program coordination, academic and research, corporate etc.
Read Full ReviewYes, i opted for daisy/orchid girls' hostel which has 2 and 3 sharing rooms. Its a very beautiful hostel with great mess food. Apart from that, there is an incampus TULIP hostel as well. With that, everything is located in such an area where everything is available and to a walking distance.
The biggest fest conducted by sls pune is SYMBHAV with the best artists showing up. I myself have been a senior member and co head of certain cells and committees, giving me an impeccable experience. Library is good with various sources. sports, cells, clubs, all is amazing. The college really does give you experience.
Read Full ReviewOften students opt for PGs for flats because of food quality, at the start of my year, the food quality was horrible but gradually it has improved in my opinion, it is not worth the one lakh you have to pay for food in the mess. Once u have decided to stay in the hostel, you have to write an email for a room to the college coordinator, stating your liking of the room whether for 2 / 3 sharing. the total rent for a room is around 2.5LPA or 3LPA depending on the time of room u have taken, AC is not provided and during the summer, you have to pay around 800 to the hostel for a cooler per month.
We have one major fest in April, Symbhav it is for 3 days and is fun having several communities in which the students can take part and contribute to the fest. We have one physical library and one online library which has more resources than the physical one. we are provided with all the course books at the start of the year for both semesters. We have a smart board, mic, and a cooler but not an Air Conditioner in the classroom, which is of a typical structure that is observed in any school. We have more than 40 clubs engaging in academics, sports, creativity, and placement.
Read Full ReviewLife at campus would significantly depend on the kind of company one has, because I have encountered a vibrant diversity in the students at SLS. With respect to amenities, they are top-notch and a sincere student would not face any hindrances due to lack to amenities. There are no student run clubs/social groups, everything is regulated by the college and the faculties are made a overseeing member of the same.
Read Full ReviewSymbiosis Offers their hostel for a stay which in my opinion is an average option but a great place to make friends. as we have to share a room with 2 more people which in total are 3 people in the room. Room Size is decent and everyone gets their table chair bed and Almira. We get 3 times food and evening snacks daily. Food quality is average and the fees which they take is 270k.
SLS Pune conducts several events throughout the year. It begins with the starting that is"SYMPHORIA" Event for fresher first-year students. This event acts like an ice breaker and gets us to know each other very well. It goes on for 3 consecutive days and covers all aspects like sports and cultural extracurriculars. They organize dandia nights and Ganpati ji pooja during September and SLS Pune has its biggest cultural event SYMBHAV in the month of FEB- March in the library, every book related to law is present which I. And in classrooms there is a projector screen for teaching, and all the basic amenities. SLS Pune has a sports team for every sport and tryouts occur every year so new students can join the team. and there are 29 cells in college to join which can help students to develop their skills.
Read Full ReviewI was not allotted a hostel because the hostel doesn’t have that much of space and I applied for hostel in the last so that was very normal to not get into the hostel, so I am living in a PG named Cozmo and it is just 20 m walk from our college in a building named Shubh Gateway and that Pg is great. You get all the facilities like AC good bad, good wall bathrooms every day cleaning and you just have to opt for a maid by yourself. You don’t get the food included there. All the way is good.
Although we have a small campus, but that campus is confined like we have all the facilities like gym, basketball, Ground volleyball, Ground, Tt table, and social life is great because it is Pune and because of this great location, one of the best cities in India, social life is great here and clubs are also very defined and has cohead and heads in each club and there is a procedure for the students to get into the club like interviews infrastructure is minimal and not that great, but does the job.
Read Full ReviewThe hostel costs around 2.5Lakhs per year and has a three sharing room it is 1 km away from the college and everyday walking us hectic. The hostel food is not of good quality but eatable. The college had a small gym facility
The campus is quite small so in comparison to NLUs and colleges like Jindal where there is an inhouse campus and hostel our life at campus is pretty mundane and boring. Occasionally it gets exciting during fests but our campus is very small.
Read Full ReviewOne main college fest is conducted every year called Symbhav, which is generally a three-day fest. It's normally conducted in April/ March. The library has a wide range of books, of majorly all the law subjects. Classrooms have smart boards, podiums, and fans and we'll maintain seating arrangements. There is a moot court hall and a PDCLE hall. Various sports options including badminton, tennis, football, etc. are available and other extracurricular activities include dance, singing, theatre, etc. There are various student clubs and committees, dedicated to various legal, environmental, and animal-related causes. The quality of food in hostels is excellent, the rooms are well-maintained and are cleaned on a daily basis. The mess menu is very diverse. Hostel registration is done after the final selection and the allotment is not based on the rank/marks scored. Several PGs are also available in the locality.
Read Full ReviewSince it's not a one-roof campus, people prefer living in flats, PGs or hostels provided by the college itself. The library is quite huge one can get a lot of resources for law and as well as non-law subjects. There are a few sports grounds like volleyball courts, football courts etc, for use.
Read Full ReviewOur college fest is named SYMBHAV which is one of Pune's biggest college fest and we have colleges attending it from all over India. We also have had concerts with artists ranging from Farhan Akhtar to Mohit Chauhan and even Shaan this year. The party life beyond the college life is really fun where u can enjoy with your friends till 4 in the morning but it can be a bit hefty on your pocket though. P.S. U can only stay in the hostel for the first 2 years of your college if you're a law student and will be later kicked out as it's their policy to counter bullying and ragging.
