What I Liked

Good Infrastructure – Well-maintained classrooms, labs, and a well-stocked library.
Good Placement Support – Many reputed companies visit for recruitment with decent packages.

What I didn’t like

Hostel Food Quality – Needs improvement in taste and variety.
Limited Extracurricular Activities – More cultural and tech events could be organized.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placements requires 60%+ in academics, no backlogs, and good technical & soft skills. Companies like Nutanix, IG Deloitte,IBM and many others visit, offering around 80-85% placements. Highest package: rs 25 LPA, Average: rs 6-7 LPA.

Remarks:

Earlier, admission was through KCET, but now students must take the NUCAT (Nitte University Common Admission Test). There was no Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI) in the process.The cut-off varied by branch, with Computer Science and AI having the highest ranks.

NMIT - A complete tour

What I Liked

Good part about college - 1) Faculty - helpful and knowledgeable. Do take some extra classes if necessary.
2) Hostel and mess - Better food than most of the hostels. Hostels have free wifi, water, electricity etc
3) Clubs and societies - You can get into singing, dancing, drama, literature, aeronautical, technical, sports, business etc clubs.

What I didn’t like

Internships - No internship is provided by the college and you need to search it off campus.
More mid semester exams and all of them are compulsory compared to other colleges in the country. 85% mandatory attendance.
Uniform in 1st year is compulsory. 2 different uniform is there, one regular and one for mechanical labs. Both are compulsory for all the branches.

Placement Experience:

All the students with no current backlog are eligible for the placements. Placement training is also provided which is not useful but charged 5k compulsorily (one time). Good companies visit the campus with max package around 35 LPA and avg package around 5-6 LPA. For branches like CSE, ISE - the placement ratio is pretty good and most of the students get placed - 90 to 95% students gets placed. 70-80 companies visit the campus in the period of 6 months to 1 year. MNCs and startup are both included in this. If you want to pursue higher studies, college do provide some assistance but not very helpful.

Remarks:

I gave Comedk exam which consists of MCQ questions based out of +1 and +2 syllabus. Ranks are alloted based on marks scored in the exam. Colleges are alloted according to the ranks and no interview round is there. There are multiple counselling rounds and you can change branch/ college in each round. I have selected this college because it is autonomous in nature, good placement data and good reputation in Bengaluru. Negatives is that college is a little far fron the city and the campus is quite small.

What I Liked

college, infrastructure ,faculty, campus life.

What I didn’t like

there is always few things which we don't like, so it's depends individually .

Placement Experience:

Placement is good and very good support from college. College will take care of each and every student so that everyone will get equal opportunity and will get placed. They will train you for every interview round and make sure that you will get placed. Also they invite so many companies in campus for students.

Remarks:

I had given COMED-K exam. and based on my ranking i applied for counselling and i got this college in first round. Additionally, the campus culture is incredibly welcoming, and felt a sense of belonging from the moment i stepped onto the campus during my visit. i recognized that the resources and support here would help me grow both academically and personally, ensuring i would not only succeed but thrive in my studies and beyond.

Placement Experience:

There is a good placements almost 90% of them are placed only few people didn’t get job or continued higher education it is highly suggested to get in this college very good environment good people it’s nice

Remarks:

There is a online test nucat and you can get admission through kcet or comedk also but i think from next year college is turning into university so it will only get admission through college entrance exma

Nmit days from 3 years

Placement Experience:

I am still in 3rd year not got a opportunity to experience it but asked seniors about the placement. If we maintain a decent cgpa with good coding skills will definitely get on campus with decent package of 4-6lpa

Remarks:

I stay near vidyaranyapura and the college is nearby to me to travel and got a snq seat which made me to pay very less fees.I needed a course related to software sector so decided to join nmit and nmit has good placement review compared to other tier 2-3 colleges

Journey of the start

What I didn’t like

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage as informed before it has a percentage around 98. Highest is around 48 to 60 lpa and lowest is 2 to 3 lpa. Around 300 companies come for the recruitments including all the top companies like Honeywell, dell, capgemini,etc

Remarks:

Main good reason is my college has a 98 placement percentage that too with a good packages and the highest package is around 48 to 60lpa and lowest around 2 to 3 lpa. And also it has a wonderful pass percentage too.

Don't join NMIT

What I Liked

I like the basketball court and football turf which was recently built
I like the greenery and gardens which my college has, there are plenty of trees

What I didn’t like

Only one big ground that's it, in that ground every sport including football cricket hockey volleyball happens
The classrooms aren't good They are not like those lecture halls which we see in big universities They are like school classrooms

Placement Experience:

Placements are good here Almost every student got placed in this year Companies like MathCo, IBM, Kickdrum, Nutanix comes and offers good package Our college also gives the opportunity to go and work in a Japanese company called zenken in japan every year

Remarks:

I gave comedk exam in 2023 which is an entrance test for colleges in Karnataka I got 81/180 and got ISE branch in NMIT But now NMIT has become a university so from this year it will conduct its own entrance exam

What I Liked

The well managed college environment, football nd cricket ground.
The main I like is it has separate hostels for juniors and seniors.

What I didn’t like

Ragging for Indian students had been many times.
In starting of college there was rules made by Indian senior like Indian students aren't able to go out after 9pm around college.

Placement Experience:

As per news the latest placement from NMIt is of 45lakh per year had been given..It has the good reviews regarding placement nd internship for all the courses.Many great companies had been visited here since these 2 months.

Remarks:

The better placement in the particular course. Cousin brother had been studying here.It contains the good ranks in all over the college as well it is affiliated to VTU which has the highest value in degree.

NMIT - A detailed reviewed

What I Liked

Campus has a Nice atmosphere and serene environment
The college has No Ragging, Ragging free campus.
Diversity of students from all Backgrounds.

What I didn’t like

Very far away from Bangalore city, it's very difficult to reach here and go out.
Attendance criteria is 85% which is not at all necessary.

Placement Experience:

So placements are decent around 4.5 lakh of avg package is expected. Students become eligible from 7th semester. Companies like Nutanix visit every year to recruit students. Placement percentage is more than 95% I plan to get placed after degree.

Remarks:

I have given COMEDK and according to my rank I was getting CSE in this college, so I took it. There are no Group discussions or interview, but I had to clear COMEDK Exam. Upcoming students have to write NUCAT exam, Admissions are done only through NUCAT. COMEDK, KCET is no longer accepted to join NMIT Bangalore.

I got placed in top MNC company where i got places for 8LPA and good thing college helped me with the projects also and also in attendance so infid my work without any tension happy to be an student there

Outskirts of the location but near the airforce base you'll enjoy the fighter jets and silent place and enjoyable surroundings and place to explore more and you need more time to explore and ambients temple everything was new to me so I chose it
