There aren't many campus placement drives for the natural sciences degrees students, as most opt to do PhD after completing their degree, and I plan to as well. As such, there is no officially released placement data.

Internships here are majorly research Internships in any of the reputed research groups of our nation. I have done my Internship at IIT Madras Femtosecond Facility, at IISER TVM, and one at Ben Gurion University at Beer Shava at Israel.

have not opted for internship this year. based on experience seniors and peers, getting an internship with a professor at another university is not very difficult, and if one is genuinely interested in a field, this will be more intrested.

there are a bunch of labs in the campus itself offering cutting edge research internships for first few years or you can also access the vast IISER network to approach a lot more professors. While many other research based companies (like TIFR) have also offered internships to my seniors in their 3rd year.

Placements here are a bit on the downside. Since it is a research institute, people opt for higher studies mostly in IITs, IIMs, IISc or foreign. People here have very specific research interest and hence not interested in placement. Most of them go for research as there career pursuing higher studies from foreign institutes in Germany, Canada, USA, etc.

Some times we have to reach out the professor in our collage there is the change to get the lor. Or we can directly cold mail to many prof there is the chance to get the reply from some then we can choose the intership.

You get very good Internship opportunities even from the 1st year. Also, professors give LOR (Letter of Recommendation), which gives you the upper hand to get any internship or higher studies. You also work under professors if you are interested. You can get a chance to participate social experiments organized by PhD students and Professors.

No, I haven't any internships till now, there are lots of internships opportunities. You can approach proffs, and you can join their lab as an intern. As I said earlier, they are lenient and understanding.

Yes I opted for internship but it as a research internship which was from IIT Roorkee. I got a stipend of 20000 rs for the work of 3 months. Internship opportunities are pretty good but stipend is less.
