- Faculties are also quite good, giving good opportunities to develop ourselves.

- Buildings are a bit older, that is changing rapidly but it will take some more time.
Remarks :
One have to crack jee mains examination to get admission in our college, also he/she should secure a good percentile ( preferably>95) to secure admission. Get a good coaching and study well, we all know that jee mains is not a piece of cake, but it can be cracked with proper determination and study. Practice previous year question papers, make your foundations strong and you will definitely crack it. Check the cutoff from the official website of jee mains, that will be more convenient, because it varies every year. Now coming to the aspects- Good- 1. Top quality faculty 2. Good reasearch environment 3. Great alumni network ( expected from the 3rd oldest engineering college in India) 4. Extracurricular activities 5. Competitive environment Bad- 1. Buildings are a bit older (offcourse it established in British era, so can't complain much) 2. A bit pressure in academics 3. Very less holidays
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are top notch, all of them has a great reasearch background, some of them used to live in US too in their job days. Teaching style is good, they try to give insights of every aspects and try to make the classes interactive. There are mainly two exams- mid semester and end semester examination. The marks distribution is - 30 in mid semester, 50 in end semester and 20 in internal assessments. Internal assessments consists of assignments, class test and attendance. The difficulty level of the term exams are lying between moderate to hard, but you can just pass the exams with a one week study before examination. But if you are a hardworking student and sacrifice your college life enjoyments, surely you can secure good marks in examinations.
Placement Experience :
Placement scenario is decent in IIEST. Approximately 86 to 90 percent of students from all departments get placed. For Computer science, information technology or electronics and telecommunication engineering it's more than 95 percent to 100 percent while in core branches like Mechanical engineering, civil engineering or electrical engineering, it lies between 70 to 85 percent. Overall placement scenario is quite good. Also, core students can opt for software placements, no restrictions on that. For CS, the Highest package is 56 lakhs per annum and the average is 12 lakhs per annum. For the whole college, highest package is same, average will lie between 10-12 lakhs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The semester fees is 62500 rs (this is the tuition fees) but the thing is there is a fee waiver system, which is applicable for all students with category and for general category students, if there family income is less than 1 lakh per annum, they will get full tuition fees waiver, if their family income is in between 1 lakh to 5 lakhs they will get 2/3rd fees waiver, otherwise they have to pay the full amount. Now after full fee waiver, the amount becomes 5500 per semester only. However mess and hostel charges are not included in this fees and can vary a little for hostel to hostel ( as there are various hostels in the college), hostel fees are approximately 5000 per year and mess fees are 24000 per semester ( it can vary).
Campus Life :
It's the most interesting question. The campus life is very much important for a college student. IIEST will offer you everything you need. There are societies and clubs for every activities such as- 1. Camerabuff for videography 2. Catherasis for photography 3. Euphony for music 4. Chess club 5. DebSoc for debating 6. Robodarshan for robotics enthusiasts 7. Expressions for plays And many more. Two grounds are present in the campus, along with basketball, volleyball, badminton courts , a gym and a swimming pool. Fests happens in the even semesters, thats mainly from January to April. Some departments of the college have their own technical fest( Impetus for Department of Mechanical Engineering), and most interesting, the grand Rebeca, the 4 days of glory in IIEST. It is the annual cultural fest and is truly super enjoyable.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
