Likes
- In our college Life we have very much free time. We have holidays on both Saturday and Sunday every week.
- We don't understand the English of our professors but they try very hard to teach us.
Dislikes
- I don't like the college infrastructure at all. It won't attract any one to join the college. Most of the buildings are constructed during British India.
- I don't like my college surrounding s they are not at all clean. Most of the surroundings of our college feels like dumpyard.
Remarks :
At first, I didn't know about this college, but then I saw the NIRF ranking and NIRF ranking was 35 at the time I was admission. It was the best choice for my rank which is 20616. I thought the college would be very good since its NIRF ranking was 35 in engineering colleges. So I took an admission in best
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because many of the people I know who have studied B.Tech have told me that this was the best and easiest compared to other courses. The faculty is good but many of them are from the home state and their English is not proper it is mixed with a Bengali accent so it is hard to understand. The qualification of faculty should be at least a PhD in the respective courses they want to teach. Each of our semesters lasts for upto 5 months and the sem exams are conducted every 2 to 3 months. The semester fee is very high nearly 70000 per semester.
Internships Opportunities :
No, still I haven't opted for any internship. There are a lot of companies which offer internships for students who completed 2nd year and even our professors help us to get internships. So I am expecting to get an internship after the completion of my 2nd year. But for that, your performance should be good in minor and major projects which will be given to students in the first and second semesters respectively.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria differ from company to company in campus placements. Some of the visiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Reliance etc. The average package in our department is 15 LPA and the highest package is 45 LPA on campus placements and 83 LPA on off-campus placements. Nearly 83 per cent of people are placed from our department.
Campus Life :
Our college life is very good. Our college infrastructure is very poor. Our hostel buildings are very old and during our last summer vacation, the hostels leaked from the roof. There are many departmental fests in our college with our department fest being revelation which is usually conducted during the last of March or starting of April. There are many books available in our library. There are upto 16 clubs apart from sports clubs. Various types of sports are played in our college including cricket which I play the most.
Hostel Facilities :
Our hostel is not good. Especially it's infrastructure is the worst. Food is not good.Compared to the food the price for the hostel is very high.Our hostel fee is high compared to our food and accommodation.We stay in the hostel for only four months per semester for which we pay 30000 rupess

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
