No, selection are based on your class 12 percentage And following you get your section accoridng to your percentage There's nothing to get prepare for the selection , it's just based on your 12th percentage and after which you will have your orientation session

I chose bcom , as I was a commerce student and found accountancy interesting All the commerce faculty are CA ,CA'S OR some kind of professional degree also apart from their academic degres they also have there own social life which makes us more connected with them
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Currently I am paying 72000 per year or 36000 per semester, lab fee and every other fees is included also, there's no scholarship provided by the faculty but overall the fee structure is kind affordable with a lot of exposure to our career
Campus Life :
Umang is one of the greatest celebration. In the month of December Large library area, sports arena, fully centralized ac rooms and building 7 different clubs Nice security, dress code and faculty is very helpful and you will always get good guidance from them even apart from your studies you get a lot of value to your life
Hostel Facilities :
Best canteen in kolkata Saatvik is the name of the canteen providing all kinds of delicacy like south Indian food, north indian, chinese food and bakery items also the food Served is very hygienic and safely made

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
