The admission in this college takes place on the basis of merit , if you’ve an aggregate of 55% in your 12th board exams you can get an admission in this college. There’s no GD interview or written tests required for admission here However for me this college was my last option so not the best college for B.Com in Kolkata
The course curriculum is very vast , and informative for all science, commerce and arts students. The faculty is extremely enriched and enthusiastic and very approachable. The external exams takes place in every six months , however the exams takes place under CU that is Calcutta university.
No! The college is not very good with providing internships, they do conduct placements but the internships are very very basic and mostly marketing and HR related , so not very good with internships
The placements are not the best in this college they’re by far average and does not provide you a great exposure so in that matter the college is not the best one to be in , However the college does provides placement that you can use as internship or just experience
The detailed fees structure for B.com (h) is as follows Morning 35000 Afternoon 27500 Evening 27500 Respectively If you’ve scored an aggregate marks of above 90% in your 12th examination you will receive a scholarship and there’s also a Gujarati quota with which you can avail a scholarship Upto 70%
The campus life is very cheerful and full of life , the college clubs are very active and they’re all student led , the socials and extra curricular in this college is by far the best , there’s always some or the other events happening every now and then keeping the college atmosphere super active and lively. The infrastructures is pretty decent but the library and sports arena are the show stoppers in this college. The library is super knowledge packed with advanced technology and the sports arena is very fancy consisting of an endless no of outdoor and indoor games
So this college doesn’t provide any hostel facilities as it’s based in one of the most expensive and oldest area of Kolkata, however there’s an endless no of pg service which is very convenient for all the students all in the 1 KM radius of the college, during admissions the college does provide a list to all the students
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
