Dislikes
- Infrastructure maintenance issue while campus is rich in history and architecture they need better maintenance and upgrades.
- Although placement of core branches is good but for non core branches placement rate is not so good in comparison to other top nits
Remarks :
IIEST shibpur is one of the oldest engineering colleges. Have very vast alumini network among all the college present in west bengal . Faculty are good. Lots of clubs and socities are present here. Cut off was low for the core branches here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Department of metallurgy and materials is engineering in Indian Institute Of Engineering science and technology is 2 nd oldest department of metallurgy and materials engineering in India. Very good placements stats in this department among other core branches.

I have applied for one scholarship ongc its result is not declared yet But there are many scholarships are given to st/ sc students here . For all students GAABESU scholarships is providing by the institute here.

All the top tech product based companies Google, microsoft, Adobe, facebook, oracle, amazon visiting here every year And in core branches Like metallurgy and mining : Sail , jsw , tata steel recruits every year

Campus Life :
Very lush green campus with lots of lakes inside the college. College is situated on the bank of hoogly river which provides college students a very beautiful view nearby the college. Rebecca is tha annual fest of Indian Institute Of Engineering science and technology shibpur .
Hostel Facilities :
There are 3 hostels for first year students Hostel -8: this hostel is oldest hostel among these but there mess section is good. Old infrastructure Hostel -9 : this oldest is also older then hostel 10 Hostel -10 : new hostel but it is slightly strict among them

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
