The campus life of the college and the non rigid attendance compulsion is what made me choose this college, i can easily study at home without having to fear attendance fulfilling mark and also the faculty of the college is also very inviting
The co curriculum of this college is easily the best, whether in real life application or skill learning or un biased opportunities provided to every student irrespective of their semester or experience. The term exams are difficult if you do not follow the class lectures and teachers recommendations
i have opted for a non paid course learning based internship at Corizo without stipend, basic fees was taken from me (8000) and there where 3 group projects that i had to make in order to get the certificate
eligibility for placement only offers to students of 3rd and 4th year but internships are open to all, various requirements are done on campus itself and it is motivated by the college team. highest placement package is around 10 lakh per annum and internship stipend can usually go upto 25000 based on skills of students after getting placements my plans will remain the same to complete my Higher education and moving out of Kolkata
per semester around 28000 rupees is required to study bsc economics hons in besc, there is no lab fee required for this subject and no mandatory fees aswell in BA English hons the fees can be expected around 32100 per semester as a few of my mates opted for that
The social life and campus life is no doubt the best part about this college, every sport event or extracurricular or clubs bring out the spirit in every student even if they're not participating. the library is huge and extremely resourceful and the best fest is obviously umang held in December after Christmas.
The college officially doesn't provide hostels but there are many hostel facility provided near college at walking distance and its quite affordable if students are sharing the room, the food quality is amazing, the menu is diverse
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
