I wanted to get into the top 5 iits for sure and having a circuital branch was my preference so according to my rank this college was one of my best option. The admission process was quiet simple , people gets admission here on the basis of their JEE ADVANCED rank and JOSAA is the conducting body which conducts the admission process for iits, nits, iiits. A major disadvantage of this college is the locality .this college is situated in somewhat village kind of locality. Else the college is all great
I am in the electronics and electrical communication course here. As in this days this branch is expanding rapidly so to cope up with the pace our institution has changed our curriculum accordingly. As earlier 1st year students only used to have common courses but this time they have introduced us with departmental course in the 1st year itself. The faculty staff here is also that advanced in their respective fields ,they are doing research which also helps the student to have a research internship under the professor. All nearly all the staff had done their Ph.D so no doubt about their qualifications. The exams are conducted on regular basis ,we have midsem and endsem exams which are planned at the very begining of the year. Apart from this professor conducts class test according to their need. Also we have fully furnished labs to have a handsome on experience over the practical things in the college.
No ,being a first year student I didn't opted for any internship yet. But knowing from our seniors they generally get internship at the end of 2nd year and they can get a semester off for the internships
Placements scenarios is quiet great here out college have nearly 100 %placements .the major recruiters include google, amazon, goldman sachs, qualcomm, etc . The criteria for placements is just you have passed in all the courses. The highest package this year was about 2.14cr (international) mainly students try for software and managements post here.
The tuition fees is nearly 2,16,000 per year and 55,000 is nearly the hostel fees including the mess charges and other fee break up I am not aware of that. Talking about my batchmates he is from SC category and he is just required to pay the hostel fees only the tuition fees is completely free for him. Talking about the scholarship available here we too have merit cum scholarship and some other scholarship including reliance scholarship and others too but I don't have that much idea about it
The campus life in iits and specially in IIT Kharagpur is very vibrant and memorable. We have 3 major fests the Shaurya(sport fest) which generally happens in mid of January and the we have Kshitij the technology fest we happens in January end and finally we have our Spring fest ,the cultural fest of IIT KGP which happens just the next week of Kshitij. Our college also invites other college's students to take part in the events and it seems to be engaging for them too. Apart from fests we have different different student run societies which works in their domain . Any students from the college can be part of any society. This creates a friendly environment between the fresher's and the seniors of the college.for ex we have kharagpur data analytics group, teamkart, pravah, computer graphics society and many more. Talking about library our college have Asia's largest library and it's open 24*7 for the students. It have lots of books in various domain including academics ,litrature.etc
Hostels are spacious and we have triple sharing rooms and we have the choice to choose our partners. Apart from that we dont have ac rooms rather ac's are not allowed in the hostels. Wee are provided with a dest ,a cupboard, a bed and other basic stuff like lan connection , wifi ,balcony, etc. We have two mess in our hostel to cater nearly 2000 students they serve us with breakfast, lunch ,snacks, dinner

Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
